i remember buying 100 broken windows years and years ago (on the basis that people kept comparing it to early r.e.m. [but it really wasn't similar at all]), then picking up the remote part when i was in england in 2002. i loved it to death. then i stopped listening to them completely for some reason, never even bothered with warnings/promises and whatever the most recent one was
will pull out the former two tonight

"american english" kills me, but i've never given them enough time... despite having a friend who hasn't stopped raving about them for 10+ years

only ever heard warnings/promises, it had it's moments but I haven't listened to it in a long time.
They had a lot of exposure over here for one of their albums a few years ago, the songs I saw on tv were pretty good.
Anyone recomend where to start?
