If you go to the QI page on Wikipedia and check the list of episodes, they already have all the guest lists up. Some great first-time guests are appearing, including Jonathan Ross, Graeme Garden, Vic Reeves, Julian Clary and Johnny Vaughan.

Can't wait for QI series 1 on DVD. Is this the first time the BBC has released a complete series of one of its panel games, rather than just highlights DVDs?
Wikipedia is my only source of information nowadays. I was on that page a few weeks ago and it is amazing.

I think it is.

^ Great news, although higher ratings normally start to happen at this time of year because of the weather.
I wish C4 kept the THOH that's airing today (friday) till Halloween, and just show the next episode in the production run instead. Knowing them they'll just air a regular episode that day. BBC2 used to air THOHS at Halloween, why can't C4? I know FOX don't, but...

Sweets and Sour Marge was...alright. It made me laugh a few times (the guys with the glass, who wrote this thing?, first oompa loompa line), yet I think the plot got a little too ridiculous at times and it was beyond the point where it was funny, it just seemed silly for the sake of it. I'd say B-, just let down by a few flaws.

simplysimpsons

Yeah, exactly! There's hopefully a chance they'll show THOH6.

Sweets and Sour Marge review
A nice filler/just a bunch of stuff episode. I missed almost the first 10 minutes because my damn computer keeps losing time, and I only realised after the episode started so I'll see the full episode a week sunday. But I liked what I saw, although it was a little too jammed with plot tangents (Homer's sugar smuggling felt undeveloped, for example). we could have seen more of Garth and more of Marge's campaign. Also I thought this was the first time in which Ralph wasn't funny ay all, in both his lines, and the animation felt a little off in parts despite the very well-animated Springfieldan ball moment. But I'm complaining too much: The episode was enjoyable overall with some funny lines from all characters. Characterisations were strong, too. Grade B

Quite a nice little episode, jokes were consistent and I liked the 3D animation on the rolling ball of people. Although they could have found a quicker way to get to Springfield being named the world's fattest town that didn't take the entire first act. B

Starting next week, C4 have double bills! Oh yeah, there's one catch, the other episode is a season 12 one. THOHXI this week at 9:30 and next week Insane Clown Posse at 9:00. Not sure where A Tale of Two Springfields is (and I actually do care, because having only recently begun grading, I want to get my grades down for every episode). Also, more 8OO10C starts 20th.

EDIT: The Sunday episodes appear to have disappeared...

Sweets and Sour Marge (although I missed the first few minutes, starting at Homer in the Duff book of records office just before playing the banjo with a cobra) was good. One of the better S13 episodes (S13 is among my favourite seasons), with plenty of bits making me laugh. Although it seemed a little stupid to have a whole act on making the town the fattest city, I thought the rolling ball was good. "Goodbye cruel life...hello ironic twist!" had me chuckling. The Erin Brokovich lines were fair but the sheer volume of them was excessive. I also thought that everyone just agreeing to ban sugar in the petition and then being completely against the ban straight away was ridiculous - but then again the whole idea of NO sugar in a human diet is also ridiculous. However, I get over these things by saying IT's NOT REAL! The sugar smuggling scene was too short but "That wasn't part of the deal", "He's right! Who wrote this thing?" was probably the line that got me most in terms of hilarity. I also thought that the "Obey Evil Guy" button was a good idea.

I don't remember what my previous grade for it was, but this time it gets a B+.

Good news about 8 Out of 10 Cats (or as Vic Reeves once said he mistook it for Eat Out of Tin Cans).

P.S. where are you getting all this information about Sunday episodes being gone and the S12 episodes at 9pm? I am glad S12 is airing because I still haven't seen Pokey Mom and that is the only pre-S15 episode I haven't. I am getting my information from Channel 4 Sales (http://www.channel4sales.com) because Wezzo's last update was 23rd September. There'll probably be one today or tomorrow (since he said there would be one this weekend).

Like HT, I found this episode more irritiating this time round. The lame jokes when Homer is initially trying to set a record, the Erin Brockovich stuff, the worldwide headquarters being located next to the Kwik-E-Mart, Lenny 'finding pearls' and more that I can't remember. They bugged the hell out of me for some reason.

Still a decent episode. Maybe 3.5/5 if I had to rate it.

I missed the first ten minutes of Regarding Margie due to a particularly exciting episode of Deal or No Deal...which is annoying, as looking at SNPP there's no repeat showings of this until at least December.

Anyone notice Sky messing with the end credits so that it looked like Marge and Homer were talking about "The Match"? They did a split screen and had pictures of footballers on the right hand side, and they synchronised it to their "I remember him"s...

I liked this episode - it was so plot-centred, which was a relief from recent episodes (Million Dollar Abie, The Monkey Suit) and I think that's what made it so good. The characters were also solid throughout and it was interesting to see Marge so ignorant, too. It was also good to see Marge fall for Homer as if he were a new person to her and not for the same old, tired "stick together forever" reasons. If more episodes in Season 17 had been like this one, instead of all over the place, it would have made for an enjoyable season, considering many of the plots seemed so promising. A-

I don't know why, but I didn't like Regarding Margie. The ending just doesn't make sense. I mean, why would Homer saying 'beer' bring Marge's memory back, when Homer's biggest catchphrase is a sound that ONLY HE MAKES?

Untrue.

And besides, "D'oh" would have been mind-numbingly predictable. Beer was more original.

Watched Regarding Margie last night. Best episode for quite a long time, in my opinion. Good plot (lasted almost a full episode too) and I thought it was a good touch how Homer tried to win Marge's heart again. Although I couldn't specifically find a huge flaw, Homer screaming was again a bad idea, although I was amused by his "BOO!". A-

Anyway, Jaws Wired Shut review!
I thought it was going so well, but it petered out at the end and sort of ruined by the overkill of awkard sex jokes. I liked the first two acts a lot. The movie thing was funny, Homer bashing his jaw was hilarious, and him interacting with the family provided a lot of sweet moments. Marge becoming tired was understandable but I wish it hadn't gone into that destruction derby thing. It was just too crazy and nonsensical, and while the Popeye parody was good at first it went on way too long. Also- what's with those sex jokes? the boner thing? orgasms? They just felt so awkward and out of place. I wish they could have done more of Homer and the family when his jaw was wired shut, and come up with a better ending than Marge wrecking the family car. Eh, I'm bashing it too much. I'd definitely see it again, it was a good episode, but I wish they could have expanded on it more. B/B-

Well the thing is its not always the fact that I go out with friends. I sometimes miss them because I'm socalising (not under age drinking, though hopefully I will be soon as I turn 18 shortly:D) but quite often because I'm at home and I just can't be bothered. But a lot of the time I'm actually in and I'd rather just go on the computer, or watch something else on T.V. I also quite often have my dinner around then. Maybe if it was on about 11.30pm at night I would. :D Simpsons and bed, nothing else to do at that time!

Anyway that's my exuse. I don't know why I've given up on S13, maybe the same reason why I've missed 3 episodes of Season 17 recently. When Season 12 was on I always made an effort to watch them. 17th December: Either episode above that didn't air.

Sky have bought the rights for Lost off of Channel 4, which is bound to alter both channels ratings/schedules dramatically.
I just read this story on Digital Spy. I am delighted because it means my terrestrial-bound friends who love "Lost" will shut up about it (I detest the show - it's not really a desert island if it has computers and stuff, is it? How come some of the women are still beautiful and appear to be wearing make-up? How the hell is Hurley still fat?).

More off-topic news, but Never Mind The Buzzcocks starts at 10pm next Thursday. Yes, Thursday. I don't know if this is good or bad news for the show, since I remember a series last year being shown on Sundays...

Back OT, Half-Decent Proposal tonight. The classics just keep on coming.

I hope Sky don't mess around with the show, and air it soon after the US.
Lost season 3 will premiere on Sky One (and Sky One HD) in November 2006, rather than Channel 4's planned Spring 2007 airing. In the USA the first 3 episodes have already aired, and after the next 3 episodes the show will take a break until January. Sky One will show these 6 episodes in November and December. The other 16 episodes will air on Sky One a few days after the US premiere.

^An option, if not for that then for the facy that I just spent 15 minutes trying to get my season 8 DVD to work. Apparently the word "sex" is too rude for 8:30:

Cynthia Nixon-type: If I'm not having sex by the end of this goat cheese quesadallia, I'm going to scream.
Kristen Davis-type: I also enjoy sex
Kim Cattrall-type: Since this morning, I've had sex with a New York Knick, two subway cops and a guy who works on wall street.
Kristen Davis-type: Broker?
Sarah Jessica Parker-type: Nah, she's just really sore!
(They all laugh, including the waiter)

Funny cut, actually made it seem more pointless.

Veryjammy
10-20-2006, 12:56 PM
Yeah I noticed they cut that out, pretty ridiculous at 8.30. It was still funny the way they cut it actually, but the actual scene is a very good parody so it's a shame it wasn't shown.

Anyway this is a solid episode. Not brilliant, but it's in a different league to most of Season 17/18.

Adamm R)))
10-20-2006, 12:59 PM
Yeah, solid enough. While most people are "going out" after season 13 finally airs, I seem to just be having it on in the background while I'm on my PC. :( I saw most of it though, I'd say A-, just about, the plot wasn't too poor and it made me laugh once or twice.

What the hell was with that cut? There were much worse sex references in the episode, I really don't understand why they wouldn't want viewers to see it. Well, there's the sense of Channel 4 for you.

Half-Decent Proposal was a good episode, although nothing too great. The oil rig and especially Lenny/Carl stuff was pretty awful, but I liked everything else quite a lot. It was great to see Artie again and he was perfectly in character with a lot of funny lines. I wish more could have been done on Artie's date with Marge and less of the unfunny oil-rig stuff (why did Homer even go there?). But it was enjoyable, especially for a Tim Long episode and is definitely one to keep. B+

matt228
10-21-2006, 02:52 AM
Half-Decent Proposal was OK. C+. Certainly better than some more recent episodes, but nowhere near the height of S13.

For anyone who missed QI last night to watch the new 8 Out of 10 Cats, it's repeated tonights at 8:35pm. I have a question for fellow QI fans - why is the word "fuck" almost always bleeped on the 10pm showings? I find this very strange as the word "cunt" which is supposedly bleeped at any time by nearly all channels was left intact on Steven Fry's documentary about manic depression (or bipolar disease) last month.

Has anyone else seen Sky One's new C4-slating adverts? Using clips from Homer vs Lisa and the Eighth Commandment, they promote the fact that they get to air episodes four years before anyone else; four years before 4 (although at the moment it's almost 5 years). It's like that Ricky Gervais stunt by making him say "or you can wait 3 years and watch it on Channel 4" - and then a disclaimer from Sky One in the middle of his episode saying how they show episodes 4 years before Channel 4, not 3.

I have BBC4 so I watch them ahead of the BBC2 schedule, but I still had to flick away from 8 out of 10 cats, whenever Nikki started talking.
I wasn't planning to watch it until the last minute, when I saw that Rich Hall was on it, he's usually good value.
And I though the BBC4 QI this week was excellent.
C4 are really stupid for putting them against each other, lots of the same people go on both shows, so people are going to want to watch both.
God I hate C4 these days.

Half Decent Proposal was quite good, but my opinions going down on Jean era episodes, knowing these flaws won't get better, makes them harder to forgive. B-/B

8 Out of 10 Cats was hilarious, the way they were so condesending to Nikki was brilliant - how I loathe her. I recorded QI and watched it today. Although it was good in parts, I would say it was the worst of series D so far. I didn't watch the BBC4 episode. I watched Bo' in the USA today and some parts were funny but it is not worth specifically watching - my least favourite character, the Bear, is way over-used. Best bit: Michael Jackson sketch and Avid meeting Justin Timberlake.

The bit that made me laugh the most was Stephen Fry saying, of religion: "Shit it."

Why is series D themed per show instead of just a few questions per subject? For example "Dogs" for a whole episode.

My favourite QI this series was the one with the silly patents such as the Santa Claus detector and the toilet snorkel, the concept of which kept me giggling at random and inappropriate moments all week long. In fact, I'm thinking of changing my user name to Toilet Snorkel.

Mook, Chef, Wife & Homer was a dull episode saved by a great final act. B-

The first two acts were a snooze-fest, but the third had some great jokes. Homer blackmailing Moe blackmailing Homer, Homer and Bart having increasingly powerful weapons each time it cut to them in the garage, and my favourite - the truck truck truck.

Although whoever gave Lunchlady Doris a speaking role should be crucified.

Adamm R)))
10-22-2006, 11:08 AM
The Mook, The Wife, The Chef and Her Homer was pretty meh, I thought. The first act was pretty much ruined for me anyway by my dad thinking he's hilarious by saying in a patronising voice "Oh Adam, look it's Metallica! You can't wait for this can you?" etc., but it's not really fair to judge it by that. Metallica's appearence was really crappy anyway. As for the main plot, it was a good idea, but it just wasn't really executed to the best that it could. It ended way too abruptly anyway, I thought there was at least a few minutes left from when it ended, things didn't seem quite wrapped up. Humour was mostly poor, I enjoyed the "dirt nap" joke, but we had two of the worst jokes in a long time: "I wish I was dead" was just a stupid line and "Man/woman" was horribly disturbing and not funny in the slightest. C-

EDIT: Was the shooting scene censored? Seemed very quick to me. Although, it wouldn't suprise me if I fell asleep briefly. (Although I can't really link falling asleep with boredom, yesterday I slept through The Twisted World of Marge Simpson and most of Mountain of Madness mid-afternoon.)

EDIT 2: Also, does anyone use my sig for UK stuff? I had it there when I had nothing else to put in my sig and I don't use it all too much. Now, my sig's getting pretty cluttered, so if no one uses it, I'll get rid of it.

I missed the first five minutes due to Deal or No Deal, but I thought the episode was ok. This has probably been discussed to death in the main episode thread, but I was really uncomfortable about them bringing back Lunchlady Doris, no matter how good a soundalike they could find (who sounded nothing like Doris Grau). Does this mean that Billy West is gonna start doing Phil Hartman's voices in three years time? Because I sure as hell hope not.

My Dad had fun pointing out what bits were parodies of The Godfather.

I for one would not be harmed in any way if you removed it.

The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer was a fair opening to S18. Metallica's appearance was awfully short. I enjoyed the truck-truck-truck joke but detested the dirt nap one. A good third act after a bad first and moderate second. C.

Great news about season 14, I hope we get it soon enough.

Jazzy was pretty bad to be honest. The episode was constructed so poorly that I couldn't really see past it. The opening was terrible, killing the Vegas wife was silly, as was having balls choking everyone. Having Lisa feeling sorry for animals because she was visited by the spirit of a rabid dog was completely ridiculous. The two plots were both pretty stupid and they tied in poorly. Those jazz guys were very annoying. Also, the emotion at the end seemed genuine to me, but it felt a bit out of place and very tacked on. And there was no real development of Bart empathising with Lisa, there was just that stupid discussion with Marge, which seemed like a poor attempt at that. Still, it wasn't completely terrible. One thing I did like was the Homer drum kit joke. Overall D+

Jazzy and the Pussycats was brilliant. Absolutely hilarious from start to finish, it had all the makings of a classic episode. It is the first Simpsons episode for a long time that I remember laughing all the way through. A*

The jokes came thick and fast, all of them hilarious. It also had some fantastic animation on the drumming, and I always love that tune that was played by Lisa & co. The story was well-plotted and never felt rushed or 'deus ex machina'-esque like some recent episodes.

There are far too many jokes to mention, but I particularly liked:

The Blue Man spitting out five rubber balls and turning yellow
Bart visualising every drum as having Homer's face on it
Homer's noise war with Bart (A circus fire?!?!)
Homer: "LET ME KNOW WHEN AND IF YOU WANT SEX, OKAY?"
The entire "Bart drumming round the house/school" sequence
The White Stripes falling through the gap in the bridge because their drumming paused over it
Ralph with the push-popper (?) at the jazz jam
The jazz guy's run: "Would you...Lisa Simpson...do us the honour of...sitting in...that chair in the audience while we jam with your brother."
Bart calling it 'Juzz'
Lisa complaining about only being on the cover of ONE magazine
George Meyer waving at Bart in the street
The 'ghost' of the dog yelling 'You suck!' before asking Lisa to get the door for it, then continuing to yell at her
The sign gag at the circus: 'Closed by Popular Demand'
Marge calling the noises 'zoological' (reminds me of her saying 'fiduciary' in Homer vs Patty & Selma)
Chief Wiggum swapping his police car for an ostrich
The background callback to Wiggum on the ostrich, cuffed to another ostrich carrying Snake
Bart writhing on the floor when Marge tries to teach him something
Jazz concert sign gag: '8-hour concert, 2 songs will be played'
The names of some of the jazz musicians in the concert

Definitely the Mountain of Madness of recent seasons.

Oh, and Bart Wants What It Wants was a great episode, but not the best of S13 by far. A-

There was a cut just after Wolfcastle says "Remember when I said I was gonna eat you last? I lied", the rest of the scene was cut after that. Anyone remember what lines were cut, and why?

I must say, considering my reaction to this episode (the 'I don't like Bart anymore' post in the General Discussion lounge thread) I wasn't looking particularly forward to this. Pretty much every Simpsons fan at my school kept coming up to me and saying: "hey, Lovejoy was in the episode last night and Bart drew on him with a laser. It was FUNNY!" Not by my standards, though, and I told them that. They just walked away (big surprise). Moral to this story; your friends don't necessarily know your interests.

This week's new episode had wasted potential I believe. It's like a lot of stuff was totally irrelevant to the show such as Amber's funeral. I mean, I doubt any of the townspeople knew her bar Homer and his drinking buddies, and even so, it wasn't that well.

The church fight with them chocking on tennis balls, was quite funny but not LOL funny. I also found the scene where Bart is banging the drums and bumps into the White Stripes went on far too long. I mean what was their purpose in appearing? It's not as if, they had a main part to play like Michel Jackson did (even though he was someone else being him).

Lisa rescuing the animals came out of nowhere, especially when the stray bear, monkey and tiger followed her up into the attic. The bit where Bart's arm got bit by a tiger was stupid too. Also, at the end what had happened to the animals? It ended too abruptly, and I think the potential was wasted in two daft storylines.

The episode was better than I remembered, but by no means great. The dog plot was just ridiculous (and I know it's unfair to judge it by this, but it gave me horrible memories of the latest Aqua Teen episode). I liked a couple of jokes "little Grampa Simpson" to name one. But I think the problem is that it's just brought down a bit by a few of the common flaws of the era. Also, I actually sorta liked the underlying thing about Homer wanting admiration from Bart, it was far from perfect, but it was good enough. I'll say C now.

Also, I just realised how every episode shown in the US will have been shown here for a few hours on Sunday, even if most people have seen the THOH episode too.

The Lastest gun in the West
Yeah, I agree the first act was pretty good. It went really dry in the middle, though, and the ending was sort of typical and tacked-on just to make sure Buck becomes the hero again, although it was nice to see Homer and Bart bond. Buck wasn't the most interesting character ever, and there were some funny moments but the humour felt a bit strained overall. It sort of felt like a typical average, bland, and forgettable season 17 episode but with better voice acting (I've thought the VA has been excellent in s13 all round), but for the most part just...dull. It's not horrendusly bad as many people make it out to be, but it's not really a shining example of a good season 13 episode, either. OK to pass half an hour with, but not often. A generous C+

This week's wasn't too bad, but one thing - Why the condemnation over a woman carpenter? Is Springfield stuck in 1806 instead of 2006? I take it Sex Discrimination Acts don't work in that town ;)

The Star Wars parody was quite funny, but I do think Bart was tormenting Skinner a bit too far with his nut allergy. Also, the wordplay did bother me as well. The bit with the dilapdated mall was funny, especially the Iranian guy with the CD. I did find the Marge bits when Homer takes credit for her work a bit too fustrating, especially the one where Karl and Lenny bang the cupboard thing she was hiding in. Also, what was that with the rollercoaster?

I saw OMATK just about 5 days back and I agree with this. What I like about s13 is that its gag writing was more livelier and therefore more closer to the classic era compared to the later Jean era, which opted for more quieter humour. This does have its fair share of problems with missed gags and instances of bad characterisation but when it hits it hits big time. My favorite gags in this one are "Old Man yells at cloud" and the callback to it, Itchy and Scratchy on the radio and a city inhabited by Charles Bronson lookalikes : this is the type of comedy writing that the show needs right now.

I think this is my favorite post-classic characterisation of Grampa simply because he's very lively in this one. Compare this one with Homer's Paternity Coot and Million Dollar Abie you'll notice how much more blander, less jaded and overall very lifeless as a whole Grampa seems in the latter two.

I also thought the role-reversal of Grampa being the hipster teenager and Homer being a strict authoritarian was quite well-done and quite satirical of cheesy 50-60 teen flicks. It doesn't lose focus with Grampa's misadventures being the constant theme and being introduced to about within 3 minutes of the episode.

Even taking into consideration the usual Jean flaws, this one is a good, decent episode. B

Couldn't watch The Old Man and the Key, but I'm glad I missed it - I didn't know it was that episode until today. I also missed the last Not Going Out :( - can anyone find a repeat or a website that has a free download of it?If you have Sky, it should be on BBC One Scotland this week - one week it was missed from the schedules. If you don't it may be available on the BBC website.

Off Topic: Did anyone else see family Fortunes tonight? I like the game, but the guy who ran it was sooooo annoying and not funny! I ended up switching over to ITV2 and watched the Xtra Factor. Speaking of which, it was pretty good tonight. (The X Factor on ITV1). Eton Road are probably my favourite choice, but were pretty crap tonight.

^Ben > all others. Shame to see Glasgow girl Nikitta go tho. Only Scottish act left is the MacDonald Bros, and God only knows how they haven't gone out yet. Also, Ray should have been voted out ages ago - he's a one-trick pony in the strongest sense of the phrase. He butchered "Waterloo" last week, and that's really hard to do.

And as for Family Fortunes, I think Vernon Kay puts a fresh spin on it. (Hey, at least he's not Les Dennis.) But seeing Jimmy Osmond try and play Big Money was hilarious.

Oh, and Parkinson with Peter Kay was absolutely priceless. I only watched it cause the Daily Mail said Daniel Craig would be on (I think he's actually on next week), but Kay was fantastic.

Going to still post here, despite the R&R still being in GD:

Married to the Blob was my favourite segment, I liked a few of the jokes and the idea felt like it had been lifted out of the classic era. The Dr Phil appearance was the low point and it never really recovered, but it seems that all of the THOH segments in recent years have just had silly quick fix endings.

You Gotta Know When to Golem was decent. I liked some of the jewish humour parts, the segment wasn't long enough to become as annoying as it could've been. It was probably the weakest segment, but it was by no means bad.

The Day the Earth Looked Stupid was a little disappointing really, it was entertaining, but it had a lot more potential. The actual aliens came in too late and the political commentary was much too serious, they could've at least made a joke about it (and the line would've made it a whole lot worse). Still, it was also an entertaining segment.

Overall a solid episode, easily the best Treehouse in years and surely the most consistant since the classic era. I really liked the 'Al "27th July 2007" Jean' name too. I'd give it a B+. Also, I hate reviewing THOH episodes, it seems a lot harder than the regular ones, you have to look past the time constraints really so it's hard to comment on the plots because they're so brief.)

Simpsons Forever!

This was definitely much better than THOH's XIV-XVI, but it still felt slightly bland, largely due to the middle Golem segment, which didn't feel "spooky" enough to be a horror segment. The other two worked well, although I was disappointed not to see Kang and Kodos until so late into the episode - they should have appeared for longer, considering the writers only get to use them once a year. The "Blob" parody was very good, as was the opening, which, all in all, makes a B-, not at all bad for a THOH episode.

Unfortunately, it is NOT available on the BBC website, and it is not repeated.

The X Factor: Ben, Ray and Eton Road should be the finalists. The MacDonald Brothers should've gone out ages ago. Ashley was great but ABBA wasn't his thing. :( I missed this week's show but saw the results - fantastic news that Nikitta is out but MacDonald Brothers should've been out long ago.

I'm happy for this thread to get off topic, but not when it involves The X Factor.Actually, me too. I don't mind The X Factor, but I can see how people can't stand it. So maybe we should place a ban on discussing of all reality shows.

Oh, and I got the QI S1 DVD, and it rocks. The pilot episode is hilarious (the scoring system is a lot higher - everyone gets scores in the 100s) and the outtakes are great. They're not all outtakes in the normal sense - some are just deleted scenes from the show, but some are true cock-ups on the part of Stephen.

And after watching THOH XVII again, it's even worse the second time round. I'm changing my grade again, back to a D+.

I missed the first segment THOHXVII and I was not very impressed with You Gotta Know When To Golem, all the jokes seemed so unfunny and I was very dissapointed. Thankfully, I laughed quite a bit at The Day the Earth Looked Stupid, I found a lot of the jokes to be pretty funny, although I wasn't to crazy about the storyline. Of What I saw, I give it a C.

Well they can't, which is exactly why I'm posting here now: has anyone realised that Sky have season 11 now? It seems to have replaced any season 14 episodes in their schedule, which is good news. So the current rights are supposedly:

Sky - 2,3, 9-11, 15+
C4 - 1, 4-8, 12-14

I dont see why c4 dont have 1-13 and just get a new 1 every year so sky has 5 seasons all the time:confused:Because Sky air a LOT more episodes per week than C4. C4 air a maximum of eight each week, whereas Sky have at least fourteen. If Sky only had five seasons you would see every one of their episodes at least once a month.

I also believe some sort of guideline says the seasons have to be shared out as evenly as possible.

Of notice is that Sky have apparently dropped S14 from their schedules, a good sign for C4.

Public Domain was acceptable, one of the best trilogy episodes, but that's not saying much. Wasn't paying an awful amount of attention to it anyway, so I won't say much. Except that the River Styx joke was obvious, but it made me laugh. Um...B-...just.

Public Domain was a heck of a lot better than Wettest Stories by a long way, but still not my favourite type of episode. I just find it hard to relate to the characters in such a off-continuity different setting. Some of the jokes were hilarious, though, and I did like the wraparounds. I think I'll go for a B- as well. Hasn't it always been like that on Channel 4? I know I've seen the episode without cuts on TV before, I'm pretty sure it was just Sky who butchered the hell out of it (there were something like 4 cuts in one scene!)

Channel 4 are dicks though, look at the comedy they've been commisioning for the last 5 years, And their reality t.v obsession. They used to be about controversial but high quality programming, now they think dumbing down and lowering their standards as much as possible means their being "cutting edge"
