Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, The (Wii)

Mario Kart 64 (N64)

This one's rough because of how different they are. We've got one game which is a spectacular and artistic single-player experience, and one game which is a accessible and infinitely replayable multi-player experience. As great a game as Twilight Princess is though, the multi-player of Mario Kart 64 has buried itself too far into my life for me to forsake it.

There's no doubt that Twilight Princess was great, and it just edges out Mario Kart 64 only because that was on the N64.

The greatest Zelda adventure versus a generic kart racing game. Hmm...

ALttP and TP are both worthy of going on from here. And that's about it.

Mario Kart 64 is fun, but TP edges it out this round.

Paul has a point about the racing being generic on MK64, but the battle mode was great. Maybe it'll make me look too much like a Zelda fanboy, but I haven't enjoyed a zelda game like TP since ALttP. Twilight Princess gets my vote.

Gonna have to vote for MK64 here. Twilight Princess was very good, but I agree with some that it didn't really bring anything new to the Zelda palette (it felt too much like a next-gen Link to the Past). While MK64 is arguably the best multiplayer game on the N64.
