It's always a little tough when Mario Brothers shows up in these brackets because its sheer history and importance is usually enough alone to give SMB a vote, but what to do when put up against a real heavy hitter like Symphony of the Night? In the end, I did vote for Castlevania.
Symphony is still one of the flagship titles for the PSX, and arguably (man, I've used this word a lot this round) the greatest Castlevania game ever. It became the standard for all those games on the GBA and DS that were all terrific titles in their own right. I can't say for sure if it's true, but I've always thought Castlevania was an underrated gaming series. For a series that has been around as long as it has and been as consistently excellent as it has, it never seems to get the publicity of a Zelda, a Mario, or even a Grand Theft Auto. It's a real sign we're nearing the end of this tournament when every decision starts getting as difficult as this one.

I really liked symphony of the night, and i think it was the best castlevania.
But SMB is really important. born in 1988, it was one of the first games i played

Wow, gonna have to go with SMB here. SMB is one of those games that's very simple, fun, and memorable all-around. Alhough Symphony of the Night is probably the greatest Castlevania game ever made, it does owe a lot to Super Metroid.

My aplogies to castlevania, but despite everything that's going for it only the original SMB has the distinction of possibly saving the video game industry.
Super Mario Bros was the first game I ever played and what an introduction to gaming it was.
