Anyone play it yet? I love it! I'll be honest, I got sick of Tony Hawk once they introduced the manual. The tricks because too ridiculous and lasted forever because you could manual to keep them alive...plus it was less about skill and more about button mashing.

The only thing I don't like about the demo (well aside from the long tutorial, just let me skate dammit!) is that the view can be a bit low somtimes but DAMN is this thing fun...

Yeah, I would say skate. is a "Tony Hawk Killer", but I think Tony Hawk killed itself. Obviously the main draw for this game is the fact that it isn't like the TH series, it's actually realistic, and pulling off what are simple tricks in the Tony Hawk games is more challenging and fun in skate. than doing the insane shit in Tony Hawk.

Yeah I feel the same way about the TH series. Started great then lost touch as more got added in.

The only thing I don't like so far about skate is the missions. I can spend a day just skating around but hate the goals they set for you.

the skate demo was awesome. i had no idea what to expect of the game before, but now it looks amazing. i love how it actually seems realistic and how you actually feel like a skater when playing it. the only thing i didnt like about it was how hard it was to pull off a manual in the middle of a combo.

the demo was very good and should be much better then button mashers although i doubt i like it enough to pay for it
