Too scary? I shouldn't talk, resident evil 4 makes my heart race. kind of scary, just really thrilling i guess. anyways, speaking of resident evil 4, I heard silent hill 2 was similar, so i'll go with that, even know I have never played that or maniac mansion.

plus I never even heard of maniac mansion.

Not much to say here, but even the originality of Maniac Mansion isn't enough to stop the psychological horror and creative scares of Silent Hill 2.
