I've never been able to understand some of the fuss FPS's recive, but Goldeneye is an exception, still didn't quite blow me away as much as it seemed to for others, but a great game nonetheless.

both games are from genres I don't really like. most shooters i couldn't care less about, although goldeneye was really good. RPG's are simply not my type of game.

Sorry Square, sorry Mario, but even your blessed and fluid combination in Legend of the Seven Stars can't undo the awesomeness of Goldeneye, one of the most important games ever made in the context of first-person shooters (on consoles or otherwise). The cheats and wonderful multiplayer don't hurt either.
I am proud to remain the single holdout in this poll. ;)

This choice is kind of a drag, since Mario RPG was just so cool. But you know, its Goldeneye.

I'm one of the few gamers that didn't really get into Goldeneye (though I still like the game and appreciate what it did). Gotta go with Mario RPG this time--although I'm also one of the few gamers that prefers the Paper Mario games to it.
Definitely GoldenEye! I've spent more hours on that game than any other game ever.

I wonder how Mario RPG got this far, but it doesn't matter. It is about to be blown out of the contest by Goldeneye.

Pfft as if it needed my vote, Goldeneye 007.
Personally I prefer the Paper Mario games over Mario RPG, though Mario RPG did have Bowser as an ally, and that kicked ass.

Another of the few times that I'm familiar with both games. And it's pretty obvious which is superior.
Goldeneye. I used to play that game all night long..

Goldeneye by a long shot. Super Mario RPG was very repetitive with it's turn-based fighting system. Not very replayable. Goldeneye offered the best console multiplayer ever at that point and an amazing single player campaign.

Goldeneye is 10 years old today.
