Ahh I like this match up, because I have a pretty good feeling the result will make Jimmy C cry.

But seriously as good as Banjo-Kazooie is, I've had more fun on games of similar genres, and it's been said before but Resident Evil 4 is just one of the most perfectly constructed games of all time, just ridculous fun, the pacing is just perfect, just as you might start to find one particular section getting a little dull, it'll thrown in some othet random variable/set piece/boss fight to keep you on your toes. I don't think I've replayed any game as much as I've played this, not to mention there's all the extras on the ps2 and wii version.

RE4 is just simply amazing. Banjo-Kazooie is good too, but it doesn't come close to the awesomeness that was RE4. As H Thompson said, it is perfectly constructed and paced in such a way that you'll never want to put down the controller, even during the cutscenes.

I'm probably one of the few who has not yet beaten resident evil 4. i got about halfway through (castle), and from what i've played, it is great. and actually scary.

to the argument that its fun, well yes, it is fun. and to see al that violence sometimes makes me laugh. i don't know why, it just does.

Look at it this way Jimmy, we wouldn't be talking about any of this if it weren't for Super Mario Brothers and that game's probably not going to win the whole thing.

Banjo Kazooie was, at one point, one of my favorite games ever. Since then I've become biased against the 32/64 bit era.

Resident Evil 4 is simply my favorite game of last generation, so I'm vote for it.

This set of four has been full of tough decisions, and this one is probably the worst of them all. Both games were terrific entertainment, though Resident Evil 4 may be the more important game of the two. Reinventing the Resident Evil series was no small feat, and the fact it was done with such polished gameplay, addicting extras, and atmospheric tension only adds to the experience. Banjo-Kazooie probably got the best of both worlds when it came to 3-D action-platforming though, since it was colorful, lush, and accessible the way Mario 64 was, and it got the "collect-a-thon" gameplay just right without being overbearing like future games did.

I couldn't decide so I flipped a coin and picked...........Banjo-Kazooie.

RE4 is overrated and I will always argue this. However, I only say this because it wears a Resident Evil label, the actual game is pretty great as it is. So I vote for it.

GO AWAY!

*runs away crying*

Well, me? It's the most colourful, lively and wonderful fairy-tales to ever be seen by man, aided by spectacular music, beautiful colours and textures, humour to boot, a perfect difficulty curve, aided by memorable characters and a story so cliched that it works better than could have ever been expected. Even after 254,284 replays, I do not tire of it a single bit.

On the other hand, there's a mildly fun, if repetitive and somewhat dry, barren and inconsistent game that has some great times to be found in blasting away zombies (that aren't really zombies!) and monsters and such in pretty lush environments. Having said that, it does become a bore on the third replay, and the interaction with the game is minimal by comparison.

Banjo-Kazooie ftw!

No matter what Jimmy and Kiyo say this is tough matchup. Two really good games. But I say Banjo-Kazooie is the better game. And that's not even a pity vote.

banjo kazzoie is overrated. i mean to pass a freakin level you have to collect the notes and then catch the birds and that is just annyoing. not the mention that the graphics are nothing special either. i played this game for like 20 minutes and then i quit for being so annoying. RE4 is more addictive and has a better story

My vote goes to RE4. Too fun.

Wait, wait, wait. You're complaining that to pass one level on a game you have to collect many notes, and a couple "birds." And you're also complaining that with some of the most fluent and least glitched graphics for its time, isn't that special. It's considerably good graphics for its time.

Going for BK.

You can hardly fault Banjo-Kazooie for being repetitive, when most games, including RE4 are based heavily on repetition. I mean, if I were a jerk, then I would say that Resident Evil 4 consists of nothing more than going from one location to the next, aiming a stick at someone and pushing a button. But I wouldn't say that. My point sir, is that you're a bit of a hypocrite.
