It hurts to vote against Super Mario Kart here, it really does. The first game is still a very challenging and fun experience with a single-player mode that the series still hasn't topped. But I voted for Grand Theft Auto Vice City here for a few reasons. GTA III still holds the honor of being the first in the series with the notoriously controversial and fun gameplay, but something has always attracted me about Vice City. It could be the accessibility of the game (unlike San Andreas, which is a better title, but overwhelming beyond belief to newcomers), or the strides taken in story and voice-acting (Ray Liotta in the lead role was genius casting), or even the music (I have a soft spot for the 80's), but somehow this was the Grand Theft Auto game that always managed to stand out for me, and considering how acclaimed the games are and how many sequels have been released, that's saying something. So Vice City it is, though Mario Kart could take this with no qualms from me.

Well, I uh, voted for Super Mario Kart. It was tough, but I had more fun playing it (and its oldr brother, which I'm actually basing this off a lot more than the few hours I spent with this game) than I did Vice City. Both are incredible games, naturally, but I picked the funner one, which seems to be the overall theme my votes are taking.

I'm an 80's fag, and I also happen to looove the hell out of GTA: Vice City which was just a tremendous game in itself, so it gets my useless vote.
I'll tell you one thing, though: the soundtrack is simply the best soundtrack ever compiled for a video game in the history of video gamedom. Each song just fits so well and sets the period just perfectly. There is nothing I dislike about it at all. "Summer Madness" playing while driving a convertible at night down Ocean Beach? Mmmm.

MK64 will always be king for me, but so will GTAIII, so this is basically a battle of the second bests.
I'll go with Vice City.

I went for Vice City.
Kart is a good game, but when you consider how huge the environment of Vice City is and how much work that took, as fun as Kart is I'd feel almost dirty voting for Kart over all that.
Vice City was bar far the better game. Vice City is my favorite GTA game yet, tons of replay value and a great game all around.

This is pretty easy for me, GTA:VC. I have loads and loads of fun with that game and despite the sketchy combat, it is probably the most balanced as far as atmosphere and visuals in my eyes. Story could've been a little better but I'll be damned if I don't love that game to death. Super Mario Kart is fun to be sure, but I would take Mario Kart 64 over it any day.

MK64 is definitely the better MK game, I spent countless hours playing VC when I got it, so that's what I'm voting for

Super Mario Kart baby, it was a groundbreaking and very fun video game, probably still the best in the series (MKDS comes real close though).
I think GTA: Vice City is the weakest of the PS2/Xbox GTA Trilogy, though it does have the best story and soundtrack of the trilogy.
