Guitar Hero is fun and all, but SFII is classic

As I said in the last bracket, Guitar Hero was a wonderful idea executed to perfection thanks to a great gameplay system, a cool controller, and a great soundtrack. Still, even with all its popularity it can't compete with a game as classic, memorable, and brimming with identity as Street Fighter II. Still one of the most famous arcade games ever made, the combat system is balanced and fun, the learning curve is terrific, and the characters are worth getting to know both through practice and through personality. I like both games alot, but history wins this round.

Maybe in a few years Guitar Hero will have exerted enough influence to change gaming forever. Until that time, Street Fighter II will win for influencing the fighting video game genre forever. That and it is a slightly funner game than, Guitar Hero.

All the more reason why they must try to put Mario Paint into the Virtual Console catalog, possibly with Wii-mote point-and-click control capability.

I think a better thing would be instead of just simply porting the original to the Virtual Console, to make it a whole new installable option in the Wii, kind of like the built in Mii games except you download it. Have it use the better music sounds and so on.

Street Fighter II is not a better game than Guitar Hero.

Better made? Possibly. But search deep within your soul. And you will realise that there is no god forsaken way that it is a better game.
