Star Fox 64, obviously.
I can see NBA Jam being a fun and awesome game for its time, but in no way would it ever be considered something everlasting by me. In the end, it's just another sports game.

went with SF64, NBA Jam was very fun and it was one of the more memorable basketball games but it's no match against Fox McLoud

NBA Jam was a big arcade hit that was addictive, fun, charming, and easy to play, and it gave basketball in video games a terrific spin. But in the end, it's energy and style can't compete with the long-lasting gaming structure of Star Fox 64. I purchased it through the Virtual Console, and I've fallen in love with it all over again (I rented it a few times for the N64 a decade ago, but never owned it).
The levels and multiple pathways are great and give the game a real sense of exploration and space beyond simply beating Andross. The secrets, the expert mode, and the medals also give the addictive and memorable gameplay alot of legs, and the desire to perfect and execute flawless runs to achieve eye-popping high scores offers a whole new layer of fun to the hardcore audience (even though the mainstream audience can still have a blast with the fun, though not exceedingly hard main quests).
I like this game so much I just can't figure out how come after Star Fox Adventures, Star Fox Assault, and Star Fox Command (which were all painfully average experiences that tried to gratuitously branch out the series in new directions), why doesn't Nintendo simply make another Star Fox game that gets back to the series' roots?

This is the game that created this.

On that alone how can I vote against it in this one? But yeah the game itself is pretty damn badass too.

Star Fox 64 was the one where they finally got it right, so I have no problem with it winning this round.
I am, however, voting for NBA Jam. I just liked it more, that's all.

I would get into NBA jam spurts on my sega, but i've spent countless hours playing star fox. honestly wasn't that innovative, just so engrossing.

i went with nba jam.
When I first played NBA Jam, it was at a place that sells pinball machine and arcade machines. It was so good I wanted to buy it. Too bad it cost $500.

SF64 dominates. I can still see Slippy shaking his head wildly back and forth as if seisure-induced yelling "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" when you die.
