Oh man, I've been itching for some new Hans and Franz in the jungle with spread guns Contra action for awhile now. It looks like it's taking most of its design from the three best games (the first, Super C, and The Alien Wars), and throwing in Vin Diesel and Token Black Guy, so there is a ton of potential.

That said, I do have some reservations about this being on the DS. With the dual screens, it looks like it could be really, really easy to get killed by something from the bottom screen when all you're attention is focused on the top, and vice versa. Has the potential to be very aggravating, but we'll see how it goes.

I loved me some Contra back in the day, but the video they showed did not impress at all.

Looks like classic, 2D Contra gameplay. Good enough.

For some reason it reminds me of the Sega Genesis in how it looks. It just has that...quality.

Its obviously for the nostalgic crowd but I do love a good old fashioned run and shoot everything in sight so I'll definitely think about it.
