Its hard. Really, really hard.
But I think...just barely I'm going to go with Tetris.
Why? Because while I think maybe Pacman had a little more effect on gaming, Tetris is probably one of the most simplest but everlasting games ever made. Its seriously a game that no matter how much graphics, gameplay, systems, everything evolves its impossible for it to become antiquated in every way. Its a game in the purest sense. Its going to be around forever, or at least for a very very long time, whatever system its on.

It's kind of funny when you think about it. Both of these games are famous and well-known to the point that even people who don't play video games know what these games are and how to play them. It's ironic they are both facing each other like this. I think Pac-Man may be the more important or revolutionary game, but Tetris is more famous and in my opinion, just alot more addictive, fun, and long-lasting. Each time a new Pac-Man game comes out, I'm sort of interested, but every time a new Tetris game comes out I'm very interested in rediscovering the game all over again, so it gets my vote here.

Gotta go with Tetris. Pac Man is more important, but it doesn't age well. It's the same level over and over again, just sped up. wait, that's Tetris too. Well, uh. I'm voting Tetris anyway.

There was only one other bracket where I could not bring myself to vote one over the other. Looks like this is number two.

wow, this is like tyson v. holyfield. and tetris bites pac-man's ear off :D
but seriously, since I am a really big fan of puzzle games, I'm going to say tetris. It's had a long run, with many versions on almost every console, but it's usually always good. I play tetris ds a lot.
well I like the *waka, waka, waka* sound of pac-man, to me, tetris has stood the test of time better.
I like Pacman. Always hated Tetris because i didn't know, and i still don't know how to play the goddamn thing.

I respect those of you have a hard time choosing between these two. I was just about ready to say why tetris was superior, but I really can't make a good argument. I still am voting for tetris, but what a hard choice.

Tetris is Tetris but Pac-Man is Pac-Man
Alert the authorities!
Pac-Man because Tetris is much more mindlesss and monotonous.
Pac-Man because Tetris is much more mindlesss and monotonous.
What he said. Although the choice was somewhat difficult, Tetris just gets kinda old after awhile. Maneuvering those same six shapes, game after game, is really repetitive.
Not to say that Pac-Man isn't repetitive. It's just not as extreme.

you dont know how to play tetris????
really really hard choice. Ended up flipping a a coin and it came up tetris.
Edit: totally should have gone wit Pacman - Tetris never had a delightfully random 80's cartoon based on it.

No, but Tetris did have a delightful Simpsons scene dedicated to it.
So did Pacman though, times ten, so meh.
