Its interesting this comes up though, with the whole debate on whether video games should be treated as a bonafide addiction in the news. I think personally regarding all video games as an addiction is a bit silly, since it falls more into just a matter of self control. But I do wonder about MMORPG's in particular, because having had some experience myself I think there is definitely a potential dependency issue with them.

I hardly think you can be so picky with what kind of video game can qualify for "dependence." Are slot machines any more or less addictive than poker and blackjack? Still, gambling problems exist.

I mean I've seen people be obsessive about dynasties on sports games. Anything somneone can enjopy, really, can be overdone.
