let me know how much shipping would be for it to Canada, Dan. I've been wanting one of those so I'd be interested.

Stuff I got this week:

Complete NES Tiny Toons won on ebay for $4
Viewtiful Joe and Ratchet: Deadlocked for $6.98 each in a Wal-Mart clearance bin
MediEvil and Syphon Filter 3 from a guy on another board for $4 each
Ape Escape, Wild 9, Spyro 2, GTA, and Mr. Domino for $1-4 each from an ebay store

Hahaha I loved that thing. I used to paint all the borders around the games that flashy rainbow color, so tacky and fun.

Haven't gotten anything new myself. Last thing was literally the other month when I bought a dual PS2-to-PC USB adapter (http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/9483/rhnvrdgvla9tkd7.jpg).

ok I just put it in as 2 punds...although no way it will weight that, so I adjusted it to one pound. it didnt change much

flat rate envelope is 9.00 with the shipping. would arrive in 6-10 days.
or I can do first class mail international for only 4.66, doesnt tell you how long it would take though. says delivery time varies. having shipped and received from canada a few times, its basicly the same window as the flat rate.

so lemme know what you wanna do

I fucking envy you, Gunny. I've been searching high and low for that damn game for approximately seven years. I can nab it off eBay, but it's always a rare listing where there's always a dude either A) sniping me every chance they get, or B) the "Buy It Now" price is just a little too much. If I had the money for BIN I'd nab it straight away, but that's not the case :( I have the second one, but I really really really want the first one. So much fun. The day will come when I have that damn game in my hands. You'll see.

Anyway, last purchase I made was Tomb Raider: Anniversary for the PS2. Managed to complete Lara's mansion and make it as far as the City of Vilcabamba before putting it on hiatus for practically this entire week. Now that I have nothing to do today, I'm tackling this sucker. Right now, as a matter of fact. Just finished the Lost Valley and am now in Qualopec's tomb. Not much progress by a longshot, but I like to look at every little thing and take my time finding all relics and artifacts. Gonna get back into it soon, squeeee.

Yeah, I've been looking for it for a long time too. So believe me I fucking jumped on it when I saw the guy put it up for sale at that price.

But I envy you for having the second one. It seems to be even more expensive and harder to come by than the first. :-/

06-22-2007, 12:07 PM
Hah, really? I always tend to find several listings of Medievil 2 on eBay whereas the original has its days when someone wants to part with it. But yeah, either game is ridicuspensive no matter where you look. I'm just glad I bought the second game when it was a new release because I loved the first one so damn much. But now that I got the word from youse, I'm holding on to that sucker forever ;)

And DAn, I finished GTA: San Andreas with around 95% completion (can't remember the exact percentage) because I've forgotten what else I need to accomplish in order to get 100%. I still punch myself in the gut as hard as I can on a daily basis for doing so (not really, but it sounded cool and dramatic enough).

Definitely.

I always see complete ones around $20-30. And that's without even getting into the shipping crap. Ugh. I'll probably break down and buy one whenever I get that much ahead someday, unless I get lucky and find one around here first (lol). They are quality stuff, The Nightmare Before Christmas vibe they've got going on is so awesome.

the last physical piece of gaming goodness that i bought was Seamen and Quake III Arena on my Dreamcast last week.

I came across the TV tuner for Game Gear at a thrift store about a year ago. It was only $4...and I didn't buy it. I'm still kicking myself over that.

But yeah, it's probably why I never gave my GG a chance. Just short of playing it at home with the AC adapter, I never took it out much cause it'd die quickly. My Game Boy filled that void, though :megadance:

The one time I played it I didn't think it was that bad. It wasn't great and it does deserve a lot of the bashing, but it wasn't as painful as I was expecting it to be. Hell if some of it were done better and a little differently it'd even be a pretty decent game. I thought the part where you were running across the grass in the dark was actually kinda cool.

Although the voice acting is seriously almost on par with the very first games' legendary quality (lack).

You ARE a good boy Lotte!

Fuck even the computer had terrible voice acting.

Gunstar
06-28-2007, 07:42 PM
The kids had some of the most aggravating voices I've heard in a game.

I only remember playing it once, hating it and never touching again. Dealing with anything but zombies was usually a nightmare, and it was just kinda boring throughout. Kinda anxious to put it in later to see how much worse it is seven years later, or if I can possibly find something redeeming about it now.

Kiyosuki

Looking back and finding stuff on it, the voice acting is good for a laugh. Almost Barry quality.

Even the title screen says "RESI-DANT-EVaL" badly.

If you can track down the third Gun Survivor game, Dead Aim, that one is actually pretty good. Its a bit better with the Guncon though, although not impossible to play.

Well I wouldn't go as far to say its the best game ever made myself, but its pretty good. I think personally you can see a few early signs of RE4 in this game. Almost like its a very loose prototype of its general idea.

And visually it was a pretty good looking game, it had some amazing cut scene work in the beginning and end.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aE2bzRVZKM (<-- hotlinking because this is a summary of the whole game, so it spoils everything if you watch the whole thing. But you can see the pretty intro.)

Its definitely something of an undiscovered gem, I just wish it was longer.

just found an awesome used media store about 10 miles from me, and it is amazing all the used games/systems/dvds/books they have. i didn't have nearly enough cash on me to get what i wanted so i only picked up a few things but after my next paycheck i'll be heading back there quick.

heres everything i got:
framed die hard poster
john lennon unseen archives (book)
robot chicken season 1 dvd (sealed)
Mortal Kombat II
Sonic Spinball
Sonic 3
Gensis + 2 controllers

total: 43.00

i already own an old gensis but it's been having some problems and the owner told me he'd sell me a gensis, 2 controllers, and 3 games for 20 bucks, and i figured it was well worth it.

i also saw they had a sega nomad for 70 bucks, the nomad has always interested me, and i've only seen them around ebay, he said i could have the nomad and 2 games for 50 bucks later if it was still there.

the nomads screen seemed to be clear with no scratches, it does not come with a battery charger so i'd just be running off of batteries.

anyone have/had a nomad and recommend it? whats the battery life like?

I didnt expect to find much in way of games but I was wrong. this guy had an incredible collection of old stuff. his consoles were overpriced but the game seemed reasonable. I plan to return and get some good finds.

I did buy lego star wars original trilogy for 5 bucks...for the 360, still sealed in the package. I am sure it was stolen but what the hell. this was a different vendor and he had wii,ps3 and 360 games for 10 or less. just didnt see anything else that spiked any interest.

Oh is it ever worth it. Only a few minutes into it, but it's sooooo awesome. And the controls are really easy. There are few separate sword swing techniques, tap and drag in one line is a thrust, tap and drag in a curve is a swipe, tap and circle link to spin attack. so fun.

I so feel you. Picked up Sparkster today on Mega Drive for £1.99. I've had RKA since I was 7, but never played the sequel.

SPARKSTER

FUCK YEAH

FFFFFUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHKKKKKK YEAHoh shit, I completly forgot there was a sequel...

fuck

either i'm drunk at work or my "gargoyle's quest" meter went off.....fabulous magnumIt was an eight dollar blind buy. That can be a tough pill sometimes. But I'm pretty interested in this series.

heh, and it was from the same dude who sold me a copy of Demon Crest

found a quality flea market over the weekend. I usually take a list of titles to look for at these type of things. I didnt expect to find much in way of games but I was wrong. this guy had an incredible collection of old stuff. his consoles were overpriced but the game seemed reasonable. I plan to return and get some good finds.nothing sweeter than finding a vendor that's completely apeshit. :bang: how old were the games? vintage?

The guy who sold me the Dreamcast also had a box of funky looking Atari games and a ratty ColecoVision. Nice find. But the problem is that he doesn't have solid prices, he barters.

I talked his atari games down to $1.50 per game, but I went for the mystery DC instead. Even though I don't have a working atari, and even though I have a very hard time getting into pre '85 home systems, I'm gonna see how many I can get next weekend.

I really DO want a coleco, but I didn't asked about the cost. And fuck, buying vintage consoles is hell under any circumstance, but buying them from a flea market is just asking for trouble.

I won a boss ebay auction last weekend, or rather six separate auctions from the same seller. All NES games:

Bionic Commando
Contra
Super C
Final Fantasy
Metal Gear
Little Nemo the Dream Master

And he threw in a couple packs of Topps Nintendo cards from back in '89. Plus he discounted the shipping to $1 per game for winning more than 1 auction. All this for about $50!

You see..I bought it when it came out because I have a close friend who has a 360 and figured I'd be able to go to his house and play it often. Problem is he get's grounded the weekend were going to stay up all night and beat it..His mom heard and felt bad I couldn't play it so only I can come over now..so Halo 3 is my answer.

The same place had a couple SNES games, Mario World and a label-less mystery game. Mario was $5 and they threw in the mystery game for free, which turned out to be...

Final Fantasy II.

Speaking of price, I got Kingdom Hearts for free today. Went with sis' to the mall today and checked out Game Stop since she bought a DS Lite yesterday...to play Sudoku with Brain Age 2...but I persuaded her that she should get a few games for it, too (in my favor, haha). Buy two games and get one free deal going on on all used games, so she got her two games (can't remember the other title sans Brain Age, of all things) and couldn't find a decent third title for free. I gave her KH and we were on our way.

Ah yeah I think Accent Core perfected the gameplay styles of a lot of characters, especially Baiken and Slayer.

The only thing thats next is that weird looking 3D game.

this last thing could bring in over a thousand dollars
I lucked out with this find. I was taking a common Saturn game back that I bought, so I had to exchange the game for something that was the same price or more and pay the difference. This is what I found. So far my best find in the wild. Is the online guide accurate for this game?

I cashed in my giant plastic Coke bottle bank at a local Coinstar in exchange for an Amazon certificate, and it amounted to $187, so I've been going on a used video game binge for the last few days. Here's what I've bought so far.

NES
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (with box)
Maniac Mansion

SNES
Star Fox (with box)
Super Game Boy (for $1.89!!)

Genesis
Console with PGA Golf game
Sonic the Hedgehog 3

I also nabbed The Karate Kid Part 2, and 3 Ninjas DVD's. Still got $115 left! :ninjabang:

Edit: actually I very well could've, it'll be my weird way of doing my taxes. using an old commodore program.

haha, those guys are psychos

sometimes they'll bring up the idea of collecting every PC game ever made. one guy on there compared it to collecting every VHS tape ever made

but collecting doesn't really cost sooo much money. I try to buy everything I see that goes for three bucks or less, and I could get a lot done going even lower. I keep a list of all the good ones to look for, and I have almost NEVER payed more than $40 for a game older than five years.

Keith Courage in Alpha Zones is one of the few TG-16 games I owned and liked. It's pretty sub-par but I enjoy it just the same. And Quattro Adventure is one I love too, in that nifty gold cartridge. Has a Fantastic Dizzy game in it :bang:

My cousin stole some games and sold me seven 360 games that he had left for $50. Yes I'm serious. He would've traded them in for credit at Gamestop. I only want like..one of these games but eh:

Beautiful Katamari
Call of Juarez
Ratatouille
FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage
Stuntman: Ignition
Thrillville: Off the Rails
Dance Dance Revolution Universe

No clue, would be the first I heard of this. Most of my 360 games came from him anyway and I've already played them :P
