Yep, the year is 1991 and the Super Nintendo has just been released in the U.S., ultimately killing the beloved NES a few years down the road. But NES is still wildly popular now and games are still selling like hotcakes. Which game will you ultimately buy today?

Tecmo is an awesome game. I have it on Virtual Console.

Tecmo Super Bowl or TMNT II? This is almost as bad as the Mega Man III / Mike Tyson Punch out choice from the tourney.

I'll take TMNT II only because at this point I probably have the original Tecmo Bowl, and it's been awhile since the insanely difficult original Turtles game.

FYI - any other choice besides Battletoads makes me cringe.

I love TMNT II, easily the best of the TMNT NES games in terms of gameplay, size, and co-op fun. However, for this poll I couldn't help but appeal to the RPG nut that lives within me, so I went with Dragon Warrior III. The Dragon Warrior games got better and better on the NES, and this was the best of those released in the U.S. (I don't think Dragon Warrior IV made it out of Japan). The multiple characters and class system even gives the original Final Fantasy a run for it's money in versatility, balance, and intrigue, the size was huge, and the sheer amount of polish in the battles, enemies, and world was great. So as much as I hate to vote against the Turtles, I give this to Dragon Warrior III.

DQ3 was my favorite RPG on Nintendo, and it was still an excellent game years later when ported to GBC.

Yeah I still play it every now and again...in fact the last two NES games I can recall playing at the moment (too caught up playing Twilight Princess in most of my time) are TMNT 2 and Ghosts 'n Goblins.

If this was kid me I probably would have gone with Dragon Warrior 3. I loved the RPGs back then with a vengeance. Now not much has changed but its a tough call between the Arcade Turtles, Battletoads, and Dragon Warrior/Quest 3.
