I've always found Joker & the Thief or Apple Tree to be good for driving to.

Mmm. I'd never realised that before.
I found a variation of this where you put on iTunes (or whatever your player is), hit shuffle, then fill in the spaces in your soundtrack as the songs play. No cheating, you have to do them in order and write down whatever comes up, no matter how hideously embarrassing. Anyway, here's mine:
Waking Up:"Away with the Pixies" Ben Lee and Liz Phair (yeah, true)
First Day At School:"Sweet Surrender" Sarah McLachlan (mmm)
Falling In Love:"Up, Up, Up" Goo Goo Dolls (okaaayy)
Fight Song:"Rental Car" Beck (I don't listen to half of these!)
Breaking Up:"Ghost Train" Counting Crows
Prom:"In My Place" Coldplay (haha)
Life's OK:"Miracle" Foo Fighters
Mental Breakdown:"Extraordinary Girl" Green Day
Driving:"Earthbound Child" JBT (Niiiice)
Flashback:"Believe Me Natalie" The Killers (has kind of an 80s feel...even though my childhood was in the 90s :( )
Getting Back Together:"Your Revolution Is a Joke" Funeral For a Friend (errr...)
Birth of Child:"The Joker and the Thief" Wolfmother (how freaky is that!)
Wedding:"Free" Mya (how romantic :( )
Final Battle:"Hey Jealousy" The Gin Blossoms (these aren't working out at all!)
Death Scene:"Liar" Eskimo Joe
Funeral Song:"The Best Deceptions" Dashboard Confessional
End Credits:"When I Get You Alone" Thicke (Great. One of the most embarassing songs on my pc and it's the last thing the audience hears.)
Maybe we should make it "songs on your computer that you actually listen to?"
