Definitely Sonic Rush. It's the best Sonic game since the Mega Drive era.

Also WarioWare Touched. Brilliant use of the touch screen. Also, like Smash Bros, i's fast and crazy but brilliant fun.

Add Meteos, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Metroid Prime Pinball, and Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime to the list. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin looks to be a must buy as well.

All of the above and Resident Evil: Deadly Silence. 8-)

I plan on buying some new games in a 2 for £45 deal at the weekend too. I'll probably get NSMB and one that someone mentions here (Canvas Curse, if they have it, although it's called "Power Paintbrush" here, I think).

Elite Beat Agents, which is out next week, looks to be a must buy for me. IGN just gave it 9.5 and the original was fantastic so I can't wait for more rhythm action goodness :D

let me tell you about two games previously mentioned here. the first is brain age. i played this game for about two days until i was able to exchange it for big brain academy, which is what i wanted in the first place. Brain age was boring and very repetitive. i don't know if it was supposeed to make you smarter or something. i was good at it, but my brain age was like 60 when i'm only 18. i guess i couldn't do it fast enough. do they expect you to do it at rocket speed all the time. i swear that guy insulted me a few times.

sonic rush: i really hated this game for one reason. it was insanelt difficult. don't get me wrong, i really loved playing the first two levels. then we come to the first boss. it was so hard. about a day after that, i realized you could do a jump-dash (dash forward in mid-air). that still didn't help.

has anyone played children of mana?

children of mana...I want it. still need to hear more good stuff about it. most of the talk has been pretty meh to say the least.

as for your take on brain age...I disagree. it is supposed to be repetitive, the entire point of the game is to become more profecient with those brain exercises. to open up even more difficult settings. its a game you should play daily for 15-30 minutes. its not a sit down and play for a few hours type of game.

Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! and Elite Beat Agents. These two games are orgasms in gaming form.

Check out Clubhouse Games if you're into quick card games on the go. I believe there are 42 or so games so its definitely easy to lose track of time when playing that game.

And about Children of Mana, well I've done the intro dungeon as well as two side quests (which both take place in the intro dungeon) and the game really isn't as good as I expected it to be. It seems repetitive and being able to only use one spell at a time (depending on the spirit you choose to come along for the ride) really sucks.

This game could have been so much more. :(

Here's to hoping multi player is fun.

If you want quality DS titles, avoid watered down remakes or ports from other platforms [such as the Res Evil title].

I'd say that the RE game is totally worth it if you haven't played the original. But if you've beaten the original, avoid it for sure.

i went to target today and bought metroid prime pinball. i think it's pretty good. i had kirby's canvas curse in my hand but wasnt sure about it.

how is mega man zx? i saw on x-play that you can get lost easily. and after playing luigi's mansion for the gamecube, i don't like games where i don't know where the hell i'm going.

Yoshi's Island 2 is coming out this month, so you should look out for that as well.

i got kirby canvas curse last week and that is a very good game. definetly a must have.

now today i had the decision of getting either yoshi's island or warioware touched. i heard they were both fun

i ended up buying warioware, but i'm not so sure about it now. of course i only played it for like 2 minutes.

Yoshi Touch & Go is underrated. It's a game which you can't really complete, but that's the beauty of it because you can keep coming back years later to try and beat your high scores...

Oh yeah, I completely forgot, Otis is right - Yoshi Touch & Go is gold. One of my friends has it - it's incredibly addictive.

I just finished this game today, and I loved it to death. It was the most fun I've had in a 2-D platformer. Really challenging game, which is refreshing to see after the ridiculously easy New Super Mario Brothers. Only downside is sountrack and sound effects, which suck.

The new Wario game is by all accounts Wario Land 5, which I have been wanting for YEARS. So yeah - essential buy.

i bought kirby squeak squad last night and it's very good. it's a little easy so far.

i also bought konductra. i want to break my ds every time i play it because i have no idea what i'm doing even after listening to the voice-over tutorial about 12 times.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Advance Wars Dual Strike, it seriously kicks ass, it pretty much the GBA versions but you have the options of playing on both screens if you like. Takes a bit to get into, but when you do it's very enjoyable and challenging and will last ages with a huge campaign mode, loads of characters and you can create maps and stuff. Really is ace.

I find Gamerankings.com is good, if you just arrange it into the top 20 DS games you get a good feel of whats gonna be good...

if I want a good advance wars game...I go with the gba title. the ds one just doesn't interest me as much, still a good game though.
