Someone on this forum wants to do the solo to "Wayward Son" as much as I do. Let's talk about it.

I know I do. Also simultaneously excited and terrified to take on Hangar 18. They've fixed hammer ons and pull offs apparently so maybe expert songs wont bust your balls as bad as the first games' could...wait who am I kidding. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mz8q1v9FX8)

Anyway, one more week. :bang:

EDIT: Holy christ. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ct3cCZy8ztQ)

already have it pre-ordered so i can get my free shirt :)

i'm just ready for free bird to kick my ass

edit: holy shit those videos are insane. this game is looking to be way harder than the first one. hammer ons and pull offs better be fixed or else we're screwed.

He made it through on his first try, not that bad. The buckethead one I put up above is far worse.

If someone posts a legit video of them five starring that Buckethead song-and I say this without hyperbole-I will eat my guitar controller.

Only major disappoint so far: Killing In The Name Of. Should've tried harder to get the right to use the actual vocals, because their all-purpose impersonator, while good, can't do Zach. Plus the covering up of the swears.

Otherwise, it's full steam ahead.

I have Guitar Hero I, it rocks.

I'm gonna wait to get Guitar Hero II till I get an xbox 360 though.

In the 360 version, you'll be able to download additional song packets apparently... maybe for a small fee... but it'll be like getitng little expansions to your game.

For some reason I didn't even realize there was a 360 version. I was under some weird impression that it was only on PS2. You can still buy the version with the actual guitar controller for 360, right?

This game does sound pretty addictive. I really want to check it out now.

This game looks amazing. I'm most likely getting a 360 soon, and this will be the first game I'll get.

One of my favorite songs on this game. The intro got me using/loving the practice feature. What's great is how easy it is to transition from slower to faster speeds once you've got it down.

finally bought this. absolutely love it. definitely noticed the improvements they made with hammer-ons and pull-offs. one thing i noticed right away kinda goes hand in hand with what broom said...

Plus the covering up of the swears.i remembered seeing this post when i played killing in the name... and thought the dude did a better job impersonating de la rocha than he did impersonating cobain on "heart-shaped box." seriously a terrible impersonation. however, a very minor complaint of an otherwise terrific game.

has anyone seen any concrete details on a 360 release?

Closest I can find are references to "Early 2007" and "Spring 2007".

I'm hoping that they can get the whole wireless thing (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/744/744594p1.html) settled with Microsoft before then... cuz having a wireless guitar on my PS2 just rocks all the harder.

Downloadable content for the 360 version seems fairly confirmed... rumors circulate about online play (either vs. or co-op) being one of the factors in the later 360 delivery time.
