a shame that he wasn't voted into the hall of fame, but it doesn't take away the fact that he was a great ambassador to the game and lived a long life. rest in peace.

he still can be voted in by that committee, and i hope that he can be someday, even though it would be sad that he'd never get a chance to see it and know it for himself. it was amazing that he was such a happy, friendly individual, having lived the life that he did. RIP
Aw, man. It was great that he and Ted 'Double Duty' Radcliffe lived so long, and it's sad to see that they are now both gone.
Major importance to my fandom: He signed Ernie Banks for the Cubs.
RIP :(

It's an absolute blunder that Buck couldn't get into HOF (let's hope he'll make it). If not as a player, but as an ambassador for the game. Now all those sportswriters who didn't vote for him have to live with the fact that Buck died and didn't get what he really deserved. Let's hope the justice will be served...
RIP Buck O'Neill :(

RIP, hopefully someday he will get into the Hall of Fame. I just loved his entire attitude towards the game. He's done so much to assure the legacy of the Negro Leagues.
