That other thread got me thinking a couple of things: 1) the Andy Bugay Memorial Field is very negative; and 2) who is actually a good sports announcer or analyst. So without further adieu, my fave talking heads in sports.

For basketball, Chuck Swirsky (he does Toronto Raptors games).
For Baseball, Jon Miller & Joe Morgan. Or Buck Martinez (does he still do baseball broadcasts?).
For Hockey, Gord Miller.
For anything else, Bob Costas.

also, the bulls' regular season announcers tom dore and johnny red kerr. they're also probably the tallest announcing duo ever (7'2" and 6'9").

Don't know if he still calls games but back in the day Ken Singleton was really good broadcasting games for the 'spos.

I've always liked Brad Nessler.

Locally (well local back home) I love Jim Hawthorne (Voice of the Tigers). Im pretty sure everyone loves their local guy.

Also agree with Roarke... Vin Scully is the shit.
