yeah, but even he needs to shut up sometimes. more to the point, every announcer seems to be hated in some way or another, by someone, somewhere. it seems like everyone gets shit on to some degree, regardless of whether or not they are actually all that bad...of course, alot of that has to do with personal biases that come with hating the team that people are announcing for.

and for the record, the only good angels commentator is the "third guy" who is often in the stands or on the field...jose mota.

i never really get hawk hatred.

i mean, i know his bi-polarness annoys the hell out of people, but i've always sort've dug that, the way he lives and dies with this team, answering e-mail, plus his catchprases (honest to god, i've actually screamed out STRETCH STRETCH during a long fly ball at a game) also, i never understand why people are expecting a person hired by the team themselves to call stuff straight down the line, fair and balanced.

won't argue much about dj though. is better than he once was, but wimpy's still way ahead of him.

as for the topic at hand, joe buck, not so much for the announcing, but for the way fox shoves him down our throats.

i don't expect them to be fair and straight, but i also expect them not to be cheerleaders, rooting on the every play like a fan. the fact that you emulate them at a game is a good sign that they are too extreme in their play calling. if you want to be biased and perhaps show that, fine, but to sit in the booth and say "YES!" when a home run is hit, or yell for your guy to put in the extra effort on a catch...hell, rex hudler doesn't even do that.
