If you're not familiar with Penny Arcade (http://www.penny-arcade.com) then odds are, you're not familiar with the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) (http://www.pennyarcadeexpo.com)... but wether you love or hate the comic should have little to do with the Expo itself... which is not devoted to the comic but rather it is devoted to gaming.

All kinds of gaming. Card games, tabletop games, PC games, console games... games! And it's not an industry event (although there are exibitions, Industry Panels, etc), it's put together by gamers, for gamers... it's also held about 30 minutes from where I live.

It's this weekend, this is the third year but it'll be my first time attending. I'm not 100% certain what to expect but it'd be cool to get my eyes (or maybe even hands) on some up and coming shit like... maybe the Wii... who knows?

Not really sure what I'll see or experience... but I'm there really for any and all things videogame related (hence posting this in media discussion). Hopefully I'll be able to give some news (although most news gets leaked before things like this, or we'll just get the same stuff already seen at other conventions or E3)... but hopefully I'll at least get some first hand impressions of things to come and maybe even some cool pics...

There's a video game forum you can put this in.

Anyway, sounds like fun.

Ive heard great things about it, since its usually not TOO crowded, mainly just the penny fans, no E3 type shit.

EGM does reports on it aswell

This seems to be picking up a lot of momentum this year, due to E3's suicide. I wish them the best of luck with it, maybe if I'm still playing video games in ten years I'll come and see it

Moved to videogame forum...

Gonna take off early from work here in a bit and head over to the convention center were PAX is being held.
