Weird Coincidence

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but August 16th is:

Ground breaking for the original Yankee Stadium was August 16th 1921.

Babe Ruth died August 16th 1948.

Ground breaking for the new Yankee Stadium was August 16th 2006.

As a Yankee fan, I think it has been already planned to break ground on that date (Steinbrenner knows). But I have something more shocking:

1948 (year that Ruth died)

53 (Ruth's age when he died)

3 (Ruth's number)

If you add them all, it comes out as... 2004... Sox broke curse that year...
