It doesn't look that much different from the current one. Same colours and stuff. However the way Adam phrases his message makes me think there's more to it than a redesign.

Too bad Damien's gone, he made some great designs and did a great job running TSW for a while. Tons of people who were just joining the community when I was (lots of them were huge posters at CBS) have left now.

it'll be different. the look of windows vista is different to windows xp but the aesthetics are the same. people like the current lardlad design so i'd be taking huge risks to change it completely. that said, i do feel that the lardlad designs of the last six years have been primarily yellow, there's going to be a major shift in that regard. as with the current design, each interior is receiving loving care and that takes time. each page will be physically pleasing in its own right, rather than having a template with some content thrown in.

work started in early may and there's a bit to go yet. its taken the longest out of any change i've made but i also have less spare time these days. i'll be disappointed in myself however if i'm not finished by the season premiere, as my original goal of the season 8 dvd release date will be unreachable.

No I made it in Paint.NET, the same program I use to make my grabpics. It's a lot better than MS Paint.

Funpic.org is what i used to be before I changed to Rare Insider. Rare Insider's Conditions are kinda high and you have to have the site on a different host for a while now.

there are limits to doing such a thing, and of course each page will fit within the standard boundaries of the design. but where possible i've tried to make some interiors look different to others. actually the sections i havent even started are probably the harder ones, so even i've got no idea how its going to work out yet.

where'd you get the graveyard information from?
i see a few inaccuracies, is all.
most notably the simpsons sourcebook opened in 1998 and closed in 2003.

if you're going by archive.org and seeing domain names, it's not really accurate because for that example, the simpsons sourcebook was at springfield.simplenet.com/source and fandom.com for a couple of years which is probably why your record of 'frinky.com' only dated back to 2000. <plug> the simpsons channel's old news pages are pretty helpful for finding old urls to sites, as well as closing dates. eg. the simpsons sourcebook actually started out at http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/Stage/3921/index.html , and i got that from the channel archive page (not my memory!).

I used sites' about pages for their openings whenever possible and archive.org for the closings. I tried to get it all as accurate as possible, but there are definitely a few errors. I'll go check out the channel now. Thanks much.

I finally got some time to update my site.

Added a new Simpson's image, a scene image of Jasper, a Sideshow Bob Stamp, and lastly a new picture of Carl from ATHF.

Went through in notepad and cleaned the majority of the pages. A few of the image pages aligned up incorrectly as well as other minor bugs. Fixed those.

Also, got rid of my button for tsw.simpsonscentral.com ,Dont know what happend to it, but I think it's down for good? I still have an open button exchange spot, if anyone wants to take it (a site near equal size/quality) PM me.

Well the broadband channel had to be redesigned so flash movies can be viewed larger, and so we could enhance the quality of every video. 2.0 has the same ratios as mtv overdrive, but only the outlined was used, so we could have correct screen sizes etc.. we did everthing else our selfs. Also the new player loads ever video Instantly, Every video is now in flash so mac users can also use the broadband video player I have also added some more clips, and I will be updating it daily.

Nope. I installed it exactly like I was supposed to and I could never get any actual numbers to show up on the image. I just gave up eventually.

I was already linking to the files through a PHP download counter I'd written, so I just modified that to log IPs/dates too. But its only the PHP file that limits downloads - if you just type the filename directly into the address bar there's nothing that stops the download. I know Opera tells you the original location of the file you're downloading, not sure about IE/FF.

edit: upon investigation, it seems that neither Internet Explorer nor Firefox tell you the original file location, so it looks like this'll be fairly successful.

i'm finished my studying commitments in early november so that's the first chance i'll have to get cracking on it.

If it's a simple search and replace you could try Textpad -- http://www.textpad.com -- you can open all your files at once and replace a string in every file. I use this for all programming / web development now, it's a great text editor.

i know someone else was having the same problem, when they tried hosting sites, every thing in that host sites folder that ended with .php had that error, even a blank php file, with no php in it. It may be the server that simpsonscrazy is hosted on, even though scott can run php on the main sites, hosted sites seem to have problems with it.
