Set 3 years after TOS, Welcome To The Spaulding Institute's premise is that Lisa has been offered the chance to to the Spaulding Institute for Gifted Children in the small town of Pinewood.

Lisa is about to start the 3rd Grade but on her first day, she is called in to Principal Skinner's office. Skinner introduces her to Eugene H. Spaulding of the Spaulding Institute who tells her that there is a place for her in his school for gifted children. Torn between leaving her home and finally being recognised, Lisa consults her parents, who tell her that they will do what ever it takes to make her happy.

It sounds good. If you decide to have Lisa go to the Institute in Pinewood, you should occasionally add in characters like Sideshow Bob/Sideshow Mel/Helen Lovejoy, etc. It would be nice to hear about some of the old Simpsons characters here and there.
