This thread is for my episode ideas for my spin-off series "Before Maggie Made Three" -- it's basically the Simpsons before Maggie (obviously the last season or so will be Marge being pregnant, with Maggie being born in the finale...). Also, please remember some of the things occuring in these episodes will not follow the continuity seen in the series, except I will try to follow it as much as I can (also please note Homer isn't safety inspector yet).
EPISODE 1: 1BMM301
"First Day of Burns"
Homer awakens, sad that he has to go back to work after a terrific break off. Bart and Lisa are both excited: Bart begins the second grade, and Lisa is finally having her first day of school.
At work, Homer is having a troubled day in his job as technical supervisor. Mr. Burns has once again forgotten his name, Lenny has eaten the last donut, and he also overheard a group discussion where they were mocking him as he hadn't done anything worthwhile with his life.
At school, Lisa is startled to find her class is being taken on their first field trip; which will be to the power plant. At the plant, Homer is pondering whether or not those people were telling the truth. Unfortunately, he falls asleep, and knocks his opened soda on an open control panel, starting a blaze in the plant, causing it to be evacuated.
Homer gets outside to discover Lisa and her class is trapped inside. He believes his love for his daughter will help him muster the strenth to get inside and save her as well as her class. Just minutes later, when Homer emerges again with Lisa's class, he is hailed a hero, and he then believed he had finally done something that is both worthwhile, and will get him noticed.
