I thought I'd do something completely different. We already have random episode ideas, spinoffs about the past, future, and other characters. So I thought I'd do something original and post some multi-episode ideas (ie. two-parters etc. only). Here's the first episode of story one.

The Sideshow Mel Show (Part One of Four)

After complaints about the food at Krustyburger, the customers in question make a deal with Krusty's lawyers that they will not sue IF he eats a Krustyburger live on air. He does, gets a bad case of food poisoning and Sideshow Mel replaces him until he comes back. SSM soon realizes that he needs a Sideshow of his own. Seeking a chance to get out of the house, Marge decides to audition, and gets the job.

Cliffhanger:

(The kids wait expectantly as Marge comes in the front door. You can't see the top of her head.)

Lisa: Well?

(Marge points up at her hair. The camera pans up to reveal... a bone.)

(They all celebrate. Fade to Black. TO BE CONTINUED.)

Oh, and how does the 5000 Ideas thing in the title fit in? This is the five-thousandth episode idea to be shown on NHC!

That's a cool idea, more interesting than the usual fan fiction. I like the Sideshow Mel Show idea too, work on more of these.

Thanks! Here's Part Two.

The Sideshow Mel Show (Part Two Of Four. I really should come up with more titles.)

Marge gets the job. She starts off doing what SSM would have done on Krusty's show, but soon finds herself replacing Lois Pennycandy instead. Her next job is to find a place to take the show for a week. (Shelbyville? "Too Ugly". Canada? "No, no, NO!". Paris? "Too French.") Eventually she finds a location.

Cliffhanger:

(Homer picks Marge up from work, as her car has broken down.)

Homer: How was work?

Marge: The Simpsons are going to...

(Cut To Black. TO BE CONTINUED.)

Nice! dang ur good. I wish i wasn't too lazy to wright. However, i forgot which episode it was, but marge said she always wanted to go to paris. I think it was the one the big shot reporter comes to town.

Definitely one of the better ideas that pops up around here, just not quite sure if it needs four parts.

Marge suggests the locations, and SSM is the one saying what's in quotation marks.

Parts Three and Four will be up on Thursday.

I like your idea. BUT, would I be right in thinking that this is actually happening while Manjula is pregnant? Remember Eight Misbehavin'? When commenting on what's happened in the past nine months, she refers to being Sideshow Marge (and according to the SNPP capsule, also Simpsons Comics #40).

Yes, you would be right in thinking that it happens during Eight Misbehavin'. I never said these were going to follow on from S17.

The Sideshow Mel Show (Part Three of Four):

"... NEW ZEALAND!!!" While in NZ, Bart, Lisa and Homer get to enjoy the sights while Marge and Mel are stuck in their hotel room trying to come up with a way to end the week of shows. Marge remembers from all of her research that New Zealand is the "home of adventure sports", and suggests that they do an extreme stunt. With Marge and Mel standing on 300 feet up in the air looking scared s**tless, about to bungy jump, the countdown begins: "3... 2... 1... TO BE CONTINUED".

Part 4 (The Finale) Later.

The Sideshow Mel Show (Part Four of Four)

Mel balks at the last second. When he and Marge get off the platform, Mel confesses that he is not afraid of heights, but is deathly afraid of falling. So Marge tries to help him by getting him to do a whole heap of different (non-televised) "stunts" (Diving, abseiling, etc.) until he feels he can conquer his fear of falling once and for all, by skydiving. Meanwhile, Homer, Bart and Lisa decide to do exactly the opposite, by SCUBA-diving. After he jumps, Mel realizes he forgot to check whether Krusty was feeling better (check Part One). He is, and doesn't know that Mel and the crew are in New Zealand. So everyone gets on a plane back to Springfield, where they vow never to talk about this again (well, until Manjula has the eight babies.)

Next week: "Let's Screw With Flash-Backs, Again!" A series of four flashbacks.
