What game sequels or remakes would you like to see?

I'd like a remake of Paper Mario for the DS - I've never played it before since my parents sold my Nintento 64 (without asking) and I loved the second one.

A sequel to Banjo-Tooie would be nice. Another resident evil game, NOT in the style of RE4 would also be quite good. I, as a traditional resident evil enthusiast hated the style of RE4.

DOES. NOT. COMPUTE.

But yes, a Banjo Threeie (Threesixtyie? Or maybe Threesixtie) would be great. As would porting Paper Mario to DS.

Theres also a whole crapload of original GameBoy games that need to be released.

To me, it didn't feel like a Resident Evil game, it felt good, it was fun, it was a good game but it was not a Resident Evil game. When I play Resident Evil, I want cheap gore, cheap scares, fixed camera angles and urban locations (which is where 1 and 0 fail) which help you appreciate the destruction of humanity which has taken place - RE4 had none of that.

I guess most of that makes sense, but...

(which is where 1 and 0 fail)

So you don't think RE1 or RE0 are any good either? And when you think of Resident Evil, you don't think of the original?

Eh, I know nothing about Resident Evil. Apart from the fact RE4 is damn fantastic.

With all the different remakes (REmake on the Gamecube, Deadly Silence for the DS) of Resident Evil 1, when are we going to see that remake of Resident Evil 2? I personally think it's second only to 4 in the series, and the best among the traditional ones, so why can't it get a make-over for a current or next generation gaming system? Deadly Silence in particular made me anxious, I mean RE2 had so much potential for DS multiplayer what with the two different scenarios. The Resident Evil game announced for the Wii makes me hopeful that maybe I'll get my wish. I'm hoping it's not a tease though (like the Resident Evil 2 environments showing up in Resident Evil 0).

As for sequels, I'd like to see a sequel for Eternal Darkness (though I know there's no way it'll happen), and hopefully that sequel to Earthbound can make it to the United States soon.

I would like to see the old EA hockey games like NHL, NHLPA or NHL 94 remade with current players. The new versions are too complicated. Go back to the original games. Simple play and a heck of a lotta fun.

I think they should stick with the RE4 style now. The original trilogy are my all time favourites, but I don't want more. Poor sequels involving zombies have already lost the 1, 2 and 3 their reputation enough. Go with RE4, it's not as good, but it's still a fantastic game.

What I was trying to convey was that in comparison to RE2 & RE3, those particular titles have their only failure resting in their inurban environments. They're all great games (including RE4), but 2 & 3 were no doubt the best. When I think Resident Evil, I think of zombies in urban environments.

One of these days...hopefully. I've been playing Mother 3 on the Game Boy Player in Japanese, and it's phenomenal--very different from EarthBound in a lot of ways, some good, some bad. But I will undoubtedly pick it up [again] on day one if it ever got translated over here.

I'd still rather play Paper Mario. I've heard it's the best Mario RPG (after the original), and that Partners in Time is the worst.

hmmmmm. I guess they did.

Although it was never released in the US, which is why I hadn't heard about it. Looks like it was a poorly made remake though.

Great game, anybody remember it? It came out over 17 years ago but I would love to see a sequel or remake someday, perhaps on the DS.

I'd also like a sequel to Sim City 3000, that's not as complex as Sim City 4. I want loads and loads of buildings and design options, but I don't want to have to spend hours managing my budget.

I would love to see a (true) sequel to Capcom's Saturday Night SlamMasters. It's so called sequel turned it into just another fighting game.

This one is even less likely: I would also like to see an update of WWF Wrestlefest. It was such an addicting, pick up & play game.

Indeed, it was quite an experience. I sometimes had trouble getting through it without help from my cousins, but it had a good difficulty curve, and it was a nice action/adventure alternative to Zelda. I'd like to see a sequel in the future.

I'd like to see Super Mario Bros. remade with the New Super Mario Bros. graphics style. Shenmue 1 and Jet Grind Radio with radically updated visuals would also be pretty sweet.

I personally would like to see a sequel to a game called Gish. Not quite as old as some others here, but a great game nonetheless.

when are we going to see that remake of Resident Evil 2?

i was hoping to see it on the GC (i.e. like RE1 remake) but the straight port seemed lazy. the whole scenario storyline and crossovers was class :)

i'm still gunning for an FF7 remake: the daddy! i've been playing it lately and still loving it....it would be all about graphics (e.g seeing sephiroth/weapon on the scale of monsters and movement in ff10). if it never happens, fuck it, still rocks

Fuck yes! I couldn't agree more, KOTOR 3 FTW.

As for remakes, I'd like Sony Online Entertainment to "remake" Star Wars Galaxies back into an RPG instead of the FPS it is now, and bring back the professions they cut out. I'd also like Quiksilver to remake Master of Orion 3 into something that more resembles MoO2, or make MoO4 along those lines.

Maybe a prequel to the GTA games, entitled Grand Theft Tricycle

I'd like to see a GTA game set during the prohibition era set in a city like Chicago. You could work your way up to become an Al Capone type mobster.

Remember Another World and Flashback? I had them on the Genesis, they were terrific games. Kind of like a cross between Prince Of Persia and a Total Recall style adventure game. I'd love to see them remade. I think they kind of remade them on the PSone as a third person game, cant remember the name of it though.

Also, anyone remember Snatcher? It was an awesome cyberpunk point and click adventure / shooter game. It was on a various computers of the time and I had it on the Sega CD. It was in a futuristic Blade Runner style city called Neo Kobe where people we're being replaced by Terminator style cyborgs and you were an amnesiac who worked to track them down and find where they were coming from, as well as trying to discover your identity. I must have played that whole game through 10 times. Imagine that sort of game with todays technology. It could be open ended like Oblivion but in a futuristic city.
