I realised that having 10 systems and 200 games lying around is a pain in the ass and symbolises a lack of a life when a girlfriend comes over for the first time, so I made the sad decision to put the entire lot on Ebay to fund the Xbox 360. I mean, Im almost 25, do I need all this shit lying around? So goodbye to NES, Master System, SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, Saturn, N64, Dreamcast PSone and Xbox. I dont miss them to be honest, and if I ever feel the need to play any of those old games, thats what emulators are for.

Thats hard to say since I've only been with her a month, but my point is more that at this stage of my life with rent, car repayments, saving for a mortgage etc. old systems I'd play once in a blue moon for nostalgia's sake dont take a lot of precedent. And its good to reclaim the space it was all taking up. I was sad to let go of the Genesis, simply because when I was younger it was my most loved system and the N64 simply because Goldeneye still kicks 99% of FPS's asses, but you've got to let go sometime.
