I'm surprised no-one's made a thread about this yet. Who does everyone think will win this year? Roger Federer hands down as far as I'm concerned - he's still at his peak and there's no-one to challenge him yet.
The Henman game earlier was another classic Henman match - started off well, lost his confidence, improved to play some really good tennis, broke down again, then decided to win the match in the fifth set. He'll never beat Federer in the second round. Hopefully, Murray will do better this year, although he obviously won't win it.

^I did wonder, but I wasn't suprised that no one made this. I find tennis extremely boring and I reckon that a few people will share my view.

I find tennis quite exciting to watch. There's the standard argument that it's boring to watch them bounce the ball back and forth, but if those people had actually watched a tennis match then they'd find that it's hardly that way at all. I have no problem if people say it's boring but at least view it as boring for realistic reasons.
Alas, I haven't been following the lead up to it but David Nalbandian is the best player out there in my opinion, go Nalbandian.

anyone with a slight interest in tennis should be watching the current events because I think with Roger Federer we are seeing one of the best players ever and may go down in history as the very best. There is a few good players going around, but none can match it with roger. I also find it interesting at Wimbledon to see the courts gradually lose quality every day.

yep, i'm a huge federer fan. if he beats henman tonight then he has a pretty easy run to the later rounds which is good. i have a feeling he'll win his 4th in a row this year.

As always I'm rooting for lovable American James Blake. Blake is due for a major, sadly this won't be it, but stranger things have happened.

I don't find watching a tennis match where each opponent makes a good game of it boring, but Henman's game yesterday was dull. It was obvious from the start who would win and Federer looked as if he was finding it so easy. The only points Tim won were mistakes by Federer when he hit it out or into the net, but they were few and far between. The British hope now lies solely with Murray, just like last year.

He is a great player and will certainly win again this year. There is just nobody to challenge him, as he's on a different level to the other players.

Well that's not my reason. That's a silly arguement because you can argue that about any sport. You can say that "soccer" is boring because it's just people kicking a ball about. You can say basketball is boring because it's just lanky people bouncing a ball, trying to put it through a hoop, then running to the other end and trying again. You can say that baseball is boring because...you get the picture. I've just tried watching it before and it just doesn't really interest me. Is that a more realistic reason? ;)

Murray played a brilliant match against Roddick, but unfortunately fell to pieces against Baghdatis for some reason. It was probably the heat of the middle of the day and he was playing a Cypriot, too. Oh well, he got the furthest he'd ever done and the tournament was still one of the best of his career so far.
