Hi guys, while it's not actually a Simpsons-dedicated site, I thought you might want to have a look at the Simpsons house I built in SketchUp. Take a look around at www.fantastic-islands.co.uk, and click the Movies icon on the left. Hope you like it!

Holy christ, that is awesome! That must have taken you ages. A lot of attention to details too. There could be more stuff in various places on eg awards on Lisa's shelf, objects in various places, and the camera movements could be smoother, but otherwise fantastic!

Words can't describe what I feel right now. That is amazing! You have talent! ;) I have some suggestions. It would be really cool if you would show the backyard with the Treehouse, Dog house, etc. While I think this is ok without it, it would be cool to see it added. Another thing I'd like to see is the basement with the washer/dryer, the Tiki head, etc. But overall, it is fantastic.

I'm going to check that program out.

I agree about the basement thing. There's all kinds of crap in the Simpsons basement, it would be an interesting addition. Not sure if there's really enough in the backyard to bother with.

Thanks for all your encouraging messages. All notes taken on board! I was going to do the basement, however the ground plans is cheated a bit - there's no room for the stairs! Doesn't really show, but I will one day get round to adding it in! I really want to see the Tiki head too! The back yard is cheated too - it's basically flats for the other houses, creatively positioned! I ran out of time for details on shelves and stuff, but I'll get round to it one day. Thanks again, I think I found a new spiritual home to geek out in!

Excellent job. I really like the fact that you can see out of all the windows and stuff. Like Scott said, some more details such as on shelves would make it even better. I don't know what SketchUp offers, but if there was any way of letting people browse the house themselves, that would rock.
