Meh. The only one that really sounds intesting is "Road To Rupert", sounds like it could be another Brian/Stewie road-trip episode. The previous ones are all very good

5ACX04 Road to Rupert / written by Patrick Meighan
Road To Rupert: After Stewie loses his beloved teddy bear Rupert, he and Brian go on a road trip to find his stuffed best friend.
I just made that up, but I bet you it's the actual plot.

Yeah, because the AD promo shot gives me fucking clue 1 about what the episode might concern.
This better not suck as much as 4B did. Ooh...that reminds me of David Schwimmer's 4B...he was good, the season was bad.
Sorry, it's late.

I know it's not the topic in this thread, but I didn't want to start a new one.
Does anyone of you know the song in the American Dad episode 1AJN07 - Deacon Stan, Jesus Man which is played when Chuck White's daughter comes into the church. I hope you can answer this question. Thanks.
And another one: Where can you get American Dad and Family Guy promocards?

Prick Up Your Ears:
"A conservative Christian comes to James Woods High which results in all the condoms being removed from the school, and leads to the kids going wild and starting to fornicate via the ear."

It's Family Guy, people. Of course it's true. It was announced at the Comic-Con by the show crew. They don't quite reach Prick Up Your Ears' level of amazingness, but they also announced an episode where Brian does Meg and the 100th episode, a two-part Family Guy-American Dad crossover entitled "Stewie Kills Lois".
Not kidding.

Why do you watch the show? You seem unimpressed by almost everything that goes on currently, all you seem to do is take digs at it?? Don't you think it would be easier for you to just maybe switch off the TV and not watch it anymore... You obviously cannot stand the show so why bother waste 1/2 hour every week. Heck it'll save electricity and a lot of swearing in this section, so do everyone a favour and stop moaning... switch off

Oh shut up. I still watch Family Guy because I used to find it funny. I still hold out hope for some reason. And admit it, both of those plots sound horrible and generally embarrasing. Besides, if Prick Up Your Ears turns out to be as disgusting as it sounds, I'll never watch this show again, so you won't have to listen to me anymore.

The episode names were never really good anyways, it's not the names fans generally look at it's the actual episode... The Simpsons episode names are good but the actual current episodes are not so great.. If you think the plot is really disgusting, don't watch it no harm done.

Its pretty sad what family guy is now, what simpsons did in scully years, Family Guy is already doing...heres what I mean.
Brian and stewie use to be just small interactions, and a few episodes dedicated to them like the road to episodes. Now like almost every episode Stewie/Brian are tobgether...
And the Meg thing, uhh....they do it every episode now its her thing now, her atcual character is gone....
Every character is getting one dimensional, and acting according to there status quo... hopefully season 5 changesw this...
I'll still watch Family Guy. I think it's a lot funnier than The Simpsons now but Family Guy is running low on GOOD ideas...

Personally, I love Family Guy. Even I admit, though, that the newer episodes are getting bland and worse than the older ones. My favorite season is definintely 3...at that time, I think they had better plots and the jokes were side-splitting in my opinion.
Now, I understand that some Simpsons fans around here might hate Family Guy and the people who like it, but it's just such a cool show in that even though it lacks characterization, emotion, great plots, and Simpsons-esque humor, it still tends to entertain you for a half an hour...well, at least me.
When I want to watch a genuinely good television show, I'll watch The Simpsons or Futurama.
When I want to just laugh my ass off, I'll watch Family Guy.

All these episodes sound awful, I think I'm done with the show.
My thoughts:
Saving Private Brian: Probably an attempt by Seth to inject his political views into the show. This isn't the American Dad crossover, even. I'd rather not see the whole politics/Iraq stuff get into FG. That's Stan Smith territory.
Drew Barrymore as another character's love interest? Is this going to be a running gag?
The fornicating-via-the-ear episode just sounds awful. But somehow I think they might pull something off. Sounds like the toad episode.

Come on, "A Very Special Blossom", for instance, is incredibly clever. And even if they some of them aren't (say "Store Wars"), they're still a million times better than these Family Guy titles. I mean, "The Tan Aquatic With Steve Zissou"?! Give me a break.

Those sound very junky.
Some of these brief descriptions sound like they could've been written by a twelve year old.
Some of these brief descriptions sound like they could've been written by a twelve year old.
Now that's just insulting to 12 year olds - they could write much better scripts than the actual show writers. The kid might have Peter farting throughout the entire episode but it would still be more subtle than the show's ever been. I'm glad I gave this up after "North by North Quahog" (though admittedly I have a soft spot for the first three seasons).

If there's 27 episodes this production season then i expect they'll release the first 13 episodes as season 6 and then the last 14 as season 7 just as they did with season 4 which means that when season 6 is released on dvd itll be like season 8/9. i wish they'd just release them all in one boxset. 27 episodes is a lot tho. are they goin to release the movie edited into 3 episodes at the start of the season? 30 episodes? I might not purchase it anyway coz season 5 is much worse then season 4 which still wasnt that great.
