Hopefully I'm not the only one who still has one of these. I remember getting it christmas of 93 and still works like magic. I've still got the classics, such as the first 2 sonic games, earthworm jim, altered beast, street fighter 2, and many more

I bought a whole system and several games for a buck a few months ago. Before that, I hadn't played one since the mid '90s.

Still got mine. Still works, too.

Although this is probably my least loved system meaning it's the one I have the fewest games for. Probably because I still had lots of love for my NES at the time. I gave it quite a bit of playing, though. As I look back, maybe I should have gone with SNES instead :-X

I bought one like 4 years ago and lost all the cords to it. A few months ago I finally got around to buying them all back and playing it again. It works great, but the connector for the power supply is really shitty. If you move it just a little bit it goes out. I don't have a whole lot of games for it, but the Sonic series are still some of my favorite games of all time. It's much better to play them on the actual Genesis rather than with an emulator

they were called sega mega drives in australia and yeah, i've still got mine. it still works. never liked it as much as the SNES though, so my memories of the system are scattered and only vaguely fond

i guess sonic was cool?

Still got mine and whatever games I had. It was hooked up before I switched it with my SNES. When it was hooked up, I played Klax, Valis III (<3), James Pond II, that Castle of Illusion Mickey Mouse game, Ren & Stimpy: Stimpy's Invention, and Alex the Kidd and the Enchanted Castle. I wanted to play more (like Golden Axe, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, Shinobi and Cool Spot!) but I had come down with SNES fever after that. Might switch 'em again!

But I was also trying to find this game I used to have. It's not where I keep all the others so I don't know where it could be.

It was like a side-scrolling shooting adventure thing. I remember that there were two cops you could choose from, a woman or a man. Can't remember too much about the levels. One of them had you start from the right side of the screen I think...and you had to pass by a huge hedge and then you get out onto the street. I think the woman wore a pink shirt, but I also think a lot of the buildings were a peach/pinkish color...anyway I remember liking that game.

Gah, and once again, this coupled with the boss music made it impossible for me to play this game without crying:

I sold my Genesis and 17 killer games in '96 for $80 'cause I needed money for Christmas. I was bummed about it for years - thanks for reminding me.

"RUN, COWARD!"

Grrr the voice acting is even scarier...

"Riiise from your grave..."

"WELCOME TO YOUR DOOM!"

Oh shit, I'm playing it now on Gens...that fucking first boss is throwing scary heads at me :( :(

take your time, play defensive and use the closeup attack to break the heads and sometimes you'll hit the boss, keep doing this and you'll bust him up real good.

or just use the cheat code to skip ahead levels

Heh, I beat him after what seemed like a million years of shooting rock things from afar and then blazing through the falling heads with the jump button. Between the length of the battle, the creepy ass voice, the monster design, the falling heads and music...I can see why the game distubred me so much at 6 years old.

Though I'm not much of a Genesis man I have been in an insane Road Rash frenzy as of late.

Beavis & Butthead was one of the first games I ever finished on Genesis. I felt so proud when I caught Daria with the fishing pole.

Still have mine. I have :

Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 2
X-men
X-men 2: The Clone Wars
Sonic 2
WWF Royal Rumble
Spider-Man
Battletoads
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist

and a few others I can't think of off hand.

Wasteland

I have:
Sonic 2
Street Fighter II: The New Challengers
Jurassic Park
Family Feud
Ms. Pac Man
The Lion King

Not bad for a dollar. A friend of mine was just going to throw it away, and I got it from him for a buck. He was going to toss it because the reset button was messed up, but that was an easy fix.

I still have mine and it works perfectly. I used to have about 20 games but I lost most of them now so I only Soccer Championship 2 :(, still pretty fun though.
