-The government and media corporations will have a lock on what can and cannot be shown or expressed on the Internet.

-The government will control every major aspect of peoples' lives, in an overzealous effort to control violence, crime, domestic abuse, etc.

-The concept of "family", even the term per se, will be outlawed.

-The United States will have annexed at least a third of the underpriviledged nations into the Union, making it one of the three supperpower countries in the world.

-The first flight to Mars will have been made.

-Global warming will have permanently screwed up the climates and vegetation.

-All forms of media, books, movies, DVD's, theatrical films, etc. will either be co-owned by a gov't-corporation partnership, or completely banned.

-Everyone's existence will lie in the database of a supercomputer. When a person dies, their existence will have been permanently erased from the database.

So yeah, the world 494 years from now will NOT be worth living in. :(
