To top off the 10th Season, technically the 201st episode, Peggy trains Lucky for his GED, whereupon he announces his plans to marry Luanne. Peggy subsequently rethinks her cirriculum, but it is soon speculated that Luanne is a mother-to-be.

What will happen? Stay tuned...

Very good, fitting finale to a surprisingly good season. Thumbs up to season 10 of KOTH!

Not surprisingly, this episode was a deconstruction of Lucky, and an analysis of the impression he's made since becoming a recurring character. Although your stereotypical redneck, his moral upbringing does more than make up for that. Furthermore, he has yet to dominate the show, which is contrary to the usual scenario for the "new character". So it's also not surprising that all, but Peggy, has accepted Lucky.

At this point, Luanne has come a long way. Marriage seems to be the next step for her, which opens up many more great opportunities. After being almost-married once before (twice if you include the incident with Trip Larsen), she's earned it. And yeah, she really is pregnant! At least now we have a clue of what to expect for Season 11.

All ramblings aside, this was a great episode. The best of the season, and one of the best season finales seen in years.

5/5

i hate lucky. but i don't think i've ever hated an episode of koth, and this was no exception, bafflingly. laughs at every turn, i was genuinely surprised that luanne was pregnant, and just really enjoyed it. koth is a great show, and deserves a longer, more in depth review, but it's just been quite a few hours since i saw the episode, and it's hard to be specific. but i'm so glad that it's getting another season, because no show has ever deserved an eleventh season more. That was exceptional. I'm not a huge Lucky fan, either, but he worked fine in this one. I don't know...everything felt on. It felt like how the show used to feel before it started down the road to blandness. Makes me optimistic about a season 11.

Favorite gag was Bobby's assumptions about what Hank and Peggy were speaking about.

I also really loved his mock graduation cap.

i've never really watched KOTH religiously, and usually only catch the syndicated eps, but is Lucky voiced by Tom Petty? i saw a couple scenes of this episode and it sounded just like him. but if he's a recurring character, that seems odd that Petty would take a steady gig like that on a TV show. is it him or am i crazy?

EDIT: OK. went to imdb and for Tom Petty it said:

"King of the Hill"
- The Redneck on Rainey Street (2004) TV Episode (voice) .... Lucky

does he still do the voice or was it just a one-off that they turned into an actual character sans Petty? c'mon KOTH fans! we demand answers.

He's done the voice for every episode and even attends the table readings now.

One recent report said that Lucky will be a prominent character thru Season 11.
