Yeah, I still keep getting that annoying white line when I color. I'd get flash but my computer doesn't let me install it for some reason.

not to sound like a noob or anything (even tho i am) but do u just trace the lines with like the polygon tool? i tried making one of these but didn't look nearly as good as these. what i did was take a screenshot, then trace over it. is that what u guys do? i'd love to contribute to the thread.

SWF's are good only for backing up. when uploading use GIF.

At any rate, you need to work on your curves more. Use the Elipse tool for the eyes.

How do you draw the lines and colour grabpics. You should use layers if you don't already. Draw the lines on a new layer, then do the colours on the layer below the lines. http://www.doheth.co.uk/codelair/graphics.php?page=grabpics may help explain it better.

Awww! For some unknown reason I loved the first one. Nice moment.
Second picture is great, too. My only small nitpick is slightly deformed pupils. It's unnoticeable on the avatar though. :)
But the first one... it's simply sweet.

Re: shading - I'm not sure about that. Almost all shaded grabs I've seen so far looked worse than the originals. Usually people use simple Photoshop filters for that, and the result looks more "embossed" than really shaded. But if you'll manage to prove the opposite, I'll be only glad :)

Lisahugger, what a surprise that you love a picture of Lisa being hugged. =) I love it too. It's the same feeling as the one with Marge holding baby Lisa in the rocking chair.

Holy crap, I just worked out how to use the colour picker! That's why my colours looked so bad before. The difference really shows I think. Also, next time I plan to make the lines thicker, I always leave them on the default thickness and then, when I'm half way through, I think: "Oh, next time I'll use thicker lines from the start".

That's how I did it. It took quite some time to do it, though. Coloring the pic and shading it took over an hour.

i've been getting to this sort of stuff lately, although you guys seem to be creating a lot of original pieces while i'm only copying scenes at the moment.

anyway, i've tried to recreate a couple of scenes by copying over frame grabs in photoshop. they're not entirely accurate, but hey. if anyone can give me tips that would be great :)
