MySpace has the most convoluted and ugly setup of any professional website I know of. And the thing is 75% ads, for God's sake. No idea why so many people started using it...

basically everyone not in college will not have a facebook because the high school feature is still relatively new. facebook is more of a school-based social network...but it's not monumentally gay and full of idiots like myspace is.

Facebook for the following reasons: 1) not written in Cold Fusion bloatcode; 2) users can't create webpage abominations; 3) you can control who sees your pages; 4) morons are much less likely to be able to register

adblock plugin for firefox has helped reduce myspace ads greatly. hate how the site's always broken in some way, but i guess it's popular blah blah blah. facebook helps me to connect with friends from high school.

I actually got a facebook after I read this thread because I was bored. It is ok but there aren't that many freedoms (pics, music, etc.) Still a good site, will get a link in my sig soon, be my friend here too.

Facebook is undeniably more practical than MySpace for me. Lets me keep in touch with a lot more people, typically friends that have graduated and are now in college.

Both, however, have shown me how bland and uninteresting the people I know are.

Ha thats probably true, usually the people who are like Myspace sucks say that because they dont got friends. I like MySpace because its just a cool way to keep in touch with ur friends online. Talk about funny times and inside jokes and stuff.

Very well argued points..........I do enjoy the facebook features, it's really the fact that it's now become a hodge podge for posting 134,454 pictures on your profile is what kills it for me. They sold out.

However, the way the images link to other profiles. Very classy.
