An annoying kid bugs Hank, and Hank doesn't know how to deal with him...tonight!

One of the best episodes of all time. It was just...perfect. Even on paper, the idea sounds genius. I suppose the past six weeks of superb episodes were building up to something.

A+

After last season's "Dale to the Chief", this was the LAST thing the show needed.

It's especially hard for Hank now, because he tries so hard NOT to lose his temper anymore, no less to a 10 year-old child. This is far different from the more abrasive man we were introduced to 9 years ago.

The main plot was funny for only the first minute. From then on, the whole thing immediately went to hell. The events leading up to the "how do YOU like it?" resolution was shamefully predicatable.

The sub-plot, surprisingly, was the sole strength of this entire episode. It cleverly combines Dale's day job with Peggy's intellectual ambitions into an old hobby. It doesn't matter that I don't support taxidermy, this was one of the better Peggy sub-plots seen in a long while.

"Hank's Bully" wasn't too much different than Season 7's "New Cowboy on the Block", and as expected, was a weak episode. The sub-plot alone saves this from complete failure.

1.5/5

You're looking at it from the wrong angle, Semaj. It isn't Hank's temper that is meant to be the center, but the blurry area that being picked on by a child brings up. It's a completely original concept.

I agree, it's incredibly easy to empathize with Hank in this one because you almost share the urge to wanna punch the kid in the face, but you know you just can't.

I thought it was a really good episode, making the season stronger and stronger. Only one episode left. :(

I agree that this was a strong showing, and a nice spin on the Hank vs. authority plot. Loved seeing Bobby trash the neighbors' yard, very satisfying. The subplot was a rare union of Dale and Peggy, and it worked quite well.

Solid episode for sure. 4/5 B+

Very solid, indeed. This week and last weeks King of the Hills were the better than any Season 17 Simpsons episode.

As for the review, I agree with Tomacco's opinons.

5/5.

EDIT: These past couple of episodes my feelings of the Simpsons being the LOL show and King of the Hill being the show with the subtle charm have reversed.

The writers definitely did a good job making me want to hurt that kid.

In my episode description on my TV said the parents are "liberal".

Liberal = Douche Bags?

They used the "liberal douche" characterization once before in Phish and Wildlife.

Interesting how it lacked, you know, humor. And it's not like I've outgrown the show because I just watched the Season 6 DVD all the way through and was in stitches despite having seen the episodes multiple times. They've just really exhausted their supply of storylines and jokes.

5/5 A-.

Very good episode. True, I haven't been keeping up with the new KOTH's (and WHY doesn't Fox ever advertise KOTH?) but I happened to sit down and watch this and was really impressed how they've maintained a quality show. And I disagree with the "humor" aspect. I've watched quite a few KOTH episodes, and what's really grown on me more than anything is the characters and its subtle, dry humor. There aren't many moments I can remember LOL at. This episode didn't make me feel that they have lost their edge either.

In fact, it's probably the best show on Fox now. That's right, if we got right down to it, KOTH is better than the new Simpsons, overall. I did like this weeks Simpsons, too. This was also a perfect example of a plot so simple that can be paced the right way and have plenty of development before everythings over and make it work.
