Instead of getting a job, Bobby and Joseph discover that they can make more money, and look cooler, by hanging out on street corners and begging.
Fantastic episode. Quite a few hilarious jokes and an interesting plot.

Does anybody keep count of how many times Bobby has needed a job?

Only several weeks after the mediocre Business is Picking Up, Bobby seeks employment again, this time to buy new jeans. Unable to find a good job, he resorts to panhandling. Although that spare change earns him those jeans, and helps cover the bill at a local restaurant, panhandling falls under the inevitable moral dilemma.

Having had a stint in sales associations, I know for a fact that the benefits of such a job is vastly exaggerated. I guess the same can apply for panhandling. It's not surprising that this episode chose to embellish said exaggeration.

On a side note, it's good to see Bobby has started dating other girls. It would be nice to see him get a new girlfriend.

Not terrible, but nothing here that hasn't already been done.

2.5/5

Also, the kid with the Incredibles T-shirt makes his second appearance.

This started off cliche (being in with the popular crowd), but it gradually drifted from being totally predictable and went in a more interesting direction. Overall, I liked it, even if the basic story of "Bobby gets a job" has been done almost as much as it has with Homer. The climax was definitely the highlight, and there were some very good moments of humor, including the windshield-cleaning stuff, and Hank's trembling lip at dinner. Joseph's awkwardness is funny as well, though he seems almost a little too creepy at this point.

Actually, isn't there a company that sets up animatronic panhandlers because it really is a surprisingly profitable business?

This is the first new episode of King of the Hill, I've caught in at least a year in a half. I was really suprised at how funny the episode was. Really well written and interesting episode, if only a tad predictable. 4/5

I watched it again without any interuptions this time and I loved this A LOT more than the Simpsons "Girls just...". It's amazing how much more funny King of the Hill is in it's tenth season compared to the Simpsons tenth season.

All the cartoons were strong last night (Family Guy being the weakest probably, as usual), and this KOTH was no exception, despite it being a total cliche formula for the show.

Now that the season is drawing to a close, I can say this season was honestly leagues superior to the last 2, maybe 3 seasons. Is there a reason for this? Does anyone even agree with me?

Season 10 has been slightly better than Season 9, but neither can compare to Season 8.

Better than Seasons 7-8, but I found Season 9 to be pretty much on target.

As for this episode, it was alright. I long for the days when KOTH was filled with tons of great jokes, whereas now it seems more like a mildly entertaining series with a joke every few minutes.

It's certainly less edgy than it used to be. It's kind of a family show now that'll occasionally deal with riskier issues, but still end up with familial conclusions ("Harlottown" comes to mind).

I agree that there aren't really many memorable "edgy" episodes (Jumpin' Crack Bass, Hank's Dirty Laundry, Luanne Virgin 2.0, Hanky Panky, any plot involving Hank's tract, small butt, narrow urethra, etc), but I don't mind as much. As long as they're still good, I'll take what I can get.

It's a little odd, too, considering most adult animation pushes the envelope more as it gets older.
