Finally. I've been looking at this frame for quite some time and now she's captured. I just love this zombie-like way of running.

If you don't like her left foot, left hand or the top of her head, blame me and not the animators. They weren't in the frame. Especially the foot could be better, but I did the best I could and it works for me at this stage. Maybe I'll think it sucks way too much later. Which brings me to the technique.

SVG (vector graphics) is really a nice tool. The ability to scale goes perfectly with my weakness for big pictures. There are two metres of boring white closet doors along one of the walls in my room. The idea of putting a big picture of OFF on these doors is very tempting. What a project.

Since I'm only interested in copying existing pictures, I'm not sure if I will try to develop my (hardly existing) hand drawing skills. The result from the computer is just so much better. I like looking at the pictures more than making them, so being a craftsman is probably a better choice than trying to be an artist.

really good, especially if that is only your first one. I think you did a good job on the hand/foot. :D

Damn, you fooled me with the title.

Excellent grabpic, though!

Sorry about the misleading title, rev. Just couldn't help myself. I love that line!

Thanx to all of you for the comments!

For a first, that is VERY good.

One tip is to not save as a PNG but to use GIF. Saves on filespace. And also try to use a thicker line, like 2 or 3px.

Here she is with 1,5px lines (and a correction on the forehead):

That was as thick as I could do it without making my eyes hurt. I realize that this might still be too thin to match the original style, but I really got accustomed to the thin lines during the making, and now I have trouble letting go.
