A day after Bart turns twenty, a massive hurricane hits Springfield and destroys most of the city.

Characters
"Homer and Abe Simpson" voiced by Dan Castellaneta
"Marge Simpson, Patty and Selma Bouvier" voiced by Julie Kavner
"Lisa and Maggie Simpson" voiced by Yeardley Smith

Episodes
1.01 : "Impending Doom" (Part 1 of 2)
During Bart's 20th birthday party, an older Kent Brockman appears on TV stating that a hurricane is going to hit Springfield. The party guests, including Bart's fiance Samantha, leave quickly to pack up. While most of the family is in a state of panic, Marge decides that the rest of Bart's party is going to have to wait while the family evacuates Springfield. Bart gets angry about his party ending early, and decides to stay home. After all of the family, except for Homer, Marge, and Bart, leave Springfield, Marge continues to try to persuade Bart to no avail. Homer and Marge then leave the house, leaving Bart alone while a hurricane comes closer to Springfield. Nancy Cartwright guest stars as Bart.

1.02 : "The Hurricane" (Part 2 of 2)
A few days later, the hurricane has dissipated just north of Springfield, leaving the town flooded. The family, now evacuated to Shelbyville, is getting used to hotel rooms. Marge tries to contact Bart, to no avail. Lisa and Maggie also start out at Shelbyville High and North Shelbyville Elementary respectively, and are ridiculed for being Springfieldians. Homer meets an old buddy from when he used to visit Moe's. Patty and Selma fight over who gets the only bed in their hotel room.

1.03 : "Funeral for a Friend"
Without having heard from Bart for over a week, Marge is becoming panicked and frustrated. A call from the from the National Guard stating that nobody was found alive in their house leaves Marge, as well as the rest of the family, even more worried. After Marge doesn't hear from Bart for another week, the family thinks he might be dead, and they start arranging funeral proceedings. The funeral goes off without any problems, but the enormous cost of a funeral almost bankrupts Homer and Marge. To gain enough money to pay the funeral home, Homer and Marge both decide to get jobs. Homer gets a job at the Shelbyville Nuclear Plant, where he meets another friend from Moe's, and Marge gets a job at Frankie's Bowl-a-Rama.

More episodes to come soon.

Bart's dead?! Pretty good ideas, though.

While the ideas are pretty well fleshed out, it doesn't really seem to suit the Simpsons. Remember, Simpsons is first and foremost a comedy. Something like a death of a major character does sound a bit like a soap opera.

The comedic aspect of this spinoff should be coming soon. I'll have more episodes later tonight.

It is a bit dark...but that can be kinda interesting.

I can see where your going with Bart, you never mentioned that he's dead specifically...the family just assumed it. Surprised no one caught onto that.

So, after two months of nothingness, I've finally got three more episodes to add:

1.04 : "Shelbyvillian Blues"
The Simpson family, now evacuated to Shelbyville, is having troubles getting used to life there. Lisa, now a senior in high school, tries to use jazz and the blues to help with the pain of losing her brother, but other students laugh at her. Maggie tries to fit in at her new elementary school, and the results are somewhat hilarious. Homer, Lenny, and Carl, reunited after the hurricane, look for better jobs because the nuclear plant isn't offering enough money. Marge meanwhile quits her job at Frankie's Bowl-a-Rama after numerous sexual innuendos leave her feeling violated.

1.05 : "The Shelbyville Files"
On their way to the Shelbyville Monstromart, Homer and Marge meet Reverend Lovejoy and his wife. They get to talking, and later that night, Marge decides to restart the First Church of Springfield in Shelbyville. With the help of the reverend and Ned Flanders, they are able to rent out a small room in a YMCA building. At first, the church attracts very few members, as many citizens of Springfield are trying to fit in in Shelbyville - by acting as people not from Springfield. However, when Lovejoy saves a child from an oncoming car outside of the church, Springfieldians begin to take notice of the church. At the end of the episode, the First Church of Springfield - in Shelbyville - is shown with most of the congregation singing a hymn.

1.06 : "Fit and Frank" (Part 1 of 2)
Marge begins to start working out after a few employees from Frankie's Bowl-a-Rama visit the Simpsons temporary house, threatening Marge in the process. She at first thinks that the guys at Frankies just want some eye candy, but when the Simpsons only car is bombed - in an act the police called leaking oil - Marge and Homer both begin to think that the people behind Frankie's are involved in something bigger. The death threats continue, and Marge one day decides to call the police, to report everything. On the way to the Simpsons house, the policeman's car is shot off the road. The next day, FBI agents arrive at the Simpsons house, and place Marge and Homer in a witness protection program.

1.06 was terribly dark, although they are all good ideas.

Some of the ideas are a bit too dark, but it's still pretty good overall.

RL, if it had Lovejoy in and all the other characters died of AIDS, you'd still love it.

I like those ideas.
Possibly because I like the Simpsons' doing more drama.
But they're pretty good plotlines, makes everyone interested to see...is Bart really dead?
Maybe you should elaborate more on Samatha's character.

Something about Bart refusing to leave his house after his party is cut short seems slightly childish for a 22 year old, even a 22 year old Bart. I'd suggest making him go back because...he wanted to save his presents or something like that lol.

If Bart is turning 22, wouldn't Lisa be 20 or perhaps 19?
Most people graduate at 17 or 18...unless she went back for another year to take even more courses because she couldn't afford university or something like that...

But yeah, keep 'em coming.

Not if Helen was one of them. :silly: Glad to see somebody's realized how my mind works (or maybe you're too busy remembering the 'bad episode ideas' thread).

Error on my part. Bart is 20 years old.

After another month-and-a-half of nothingness, 3 new episodes grace this spinoff. I expect to have finished the whole season sometime in November.

1.07: "Shoup Soup"
Now a part of the witness protection program, Homer and Marge move to a small town named Shoup, Idaho, where they find life incredibly boring. Aching to have some fun, Homer decides to travel to Boise, where one of Frankie's relatives catches his eye. Homer returns to Shoup worried that something might happen to them, but doesn't tell Marge. The next day, when Mafia gangsters surround their house, Marge gets mad at Homer for not telling her. The mafia enter the house and corner Marge and Homer, but after Marge pleads for their lives, they decide to let Homer and Marge go. A week later, the Simpsons return to their house in Shelbyville. Meanwhile, Lisa makes a friend named Tara at Shelbyville High School.

1.00111000: "The Binary Rules"
At Shelbyville High, Lisa and her new friend, Tara, uncover a plot by some hacker nerds to hack into the school system to alter grades, they feel uncertain about telling someone, for Tara's name was mentioned in the grade-altering scheme. Tara at this point had some pretty bad grades, and she was in a dilemma. If she didn't tell, she'd be able to get higher grades but would feel quite guilty about it; if Tara told a teacher or the principal, Tara's grades would stay the same. After seeking advice from Homer and Marge, Lisa decides to tell a teacher, who later on catches the nerds. Feeling ashamed about her grades and at Lisa, she breaks off the friendship, and Lisa is again left with no friends. Meanwhile, Homer, Lenny, and Carl try to start a cigarette business on the Internet, and hilarity ensues.

1.09: "Lisa Graduates from High School"
At the end of May, Lisa finally graduates from high school, at the top of her class. Unfortunately, because she's from Springfield, Lisa's refused valedictorian status. Marge raises a fuss over this, but Lisa doesn't mind, saying that she'll still be able to get into Harvard. At the graduation ceremony, she begins wishing Bart were still alive, thinking of him being able to watch the ceremony. Before she gets her diploma, she suddenly catches a glimpse of someone she thought was Bart. Astounded, Lisa almost forgets her diploma. After the ceremony ends, she talks to Marge and Homer about Bart, and begins to think he may still be alive. Unfortunately, Lisa's caught up in graduation parties for people she barely knows before she can worry about Bart anymore.

I'll have the rest of the episodes of this season in a month or two. :P
