...if any?

For me, and this is going to seem like a very stupid thing to laugh so hard about, the most recent episode that did this was season 13's The Sweetest Apu. While I think the episode itself is only a B- or so, the scene involving Homer backing away over and over caught me completely off-guard and had me laughing well into the commercials. It's one of those jokes that isn't particularly smart or anything, but I found it indescribably funny.

Anyway, what's the most recent episode that had you crying from laughter?

Hmmmm...Hmmmmmmmmmmm. There are tonnes of episodes in the Jean years which had me laughing quite a bit, but not crying.

In the Scully years Trash of the Titans and The City of New York v Homer Simpson had be rolling around with laughter, but not crying.

The only episodes to ever have me with tears in my eyes from laughter are Dog of Death (The Clockwork Orange parody caught me completey offguard, it was hilarious) and Krusty gets Kancelled (worker and parasite were hilarious).

The only time I can think that's ever happened was during the premiere airing of "Girly Edition," with all those Union Pacific trains going by Lisa. If I recall correctly, they must've gone for at least 30 seconds. It was so absurdly funny at the time.

That scene must've made an easy syndication cut, huh? The joke loses so much in syndication. I can't wait for the Season 9 DVD to come out.

"My eyes! The goggles do nothing!"

Didn't have tears, but I was in pain laughing at that for some reason a few years ago (it was especcially weird because I'd already seen the episode numerous times, but just randomly found myself in pain laughing that one time).

I never cried laughing at any Simpsons episode, but I almost hurt myself laughing at The Parent Rap the first time it re-aried. I still laugh really hard at most of the Scully episodes in general.

That is one of the funniest scenes I had seen too. Luckily in Australia it didn't get cut for syndication (unless a chunk out of the middle was taken) because watching it for the first time it had Lisa saying "The old Union Pacific doesn't come by much anymore" then the train goes past, before finishing with the cat lady emerging from the other side of the train track.

I remember laughing hysterically during the Porch Pals sequence in Itchy & Scratchy & Marge. I've done it more than once, but not consistently. It just depends on the day, I guess.

One of the last I can remember is in Bye Bye Nerdie when the baby-proofing saleswoman is trying to prove that the bottle is easy to open, struggles with it for a while, and then realizes it was baby formula. I was dying.

The only episode that I have ever cry-laughed at was Mountain of Madness. The jokes come so thick and fast that it's just hilarious.

Most of S1 comes close tho.

I've never cried from laughter. In fact I barely even laugh out loud at anything. I guess I'm just dead inside.

I think I might be in agreement with Triforce Bun here,(on the episodes grade as well) if not crying with laughter then it was at least sustained hilarity, Homer dreaming about it as well is what really caps it.

Really? Can you give an example?

I don't think I've ever laughed really hard from a Simpsons episode, even if I laugh a lot watching shows like America's Funniest Home Videos.

bart the general is hilarious, although like veryjammy i very rarely laugh out loud at jokes, much less cry with laughter.

"Lisa the Vegetarian" has me rolling on the floor like a maniac every time I watch it.

The funniest moment of this season so far has been Moe throwing Barney out of the bar over and over and over on the seemingly never ending story.

Thats A Paddlin

I think i've only really lost it 3 times during a Simpsons episode. I dont laugh much at all so OFF has done something good here.

1. The Guy Incognito Joke {whoever though of this deserves a Nobel Prize}
2. The "Thats A Paddlin" Joke
3. The "Bort License Plate" Joke.

Agreed. The first time I saw Cape Fear, the scene where Homer jumps in with the butcher knife, I was so choked up with laughter it was insane.

I don't usually cry from laughter with the show, but aside from a few times in the golden era (I think I laughed more because I was just a kid during that), I'd say I laughed through 75% of "Behind the Laughter" the first time it aired. I was laughing insanely hard. That's why it was my #1 episode ever for a long time afterwards.

But the other day I was high with my friends and we happened to be watching a rerun of "Team Homer" and when Milhouse turns and screams "I'M FREAKING OUUUUT!" right into the camera, we all just lost it. We couldn't breathe we were laughing so hard.

A Star Is Burns
Much Apu About Nothing

Watched these just recently for the first time in a few years and they had me going!

Homer: "If I could speak for a few moments...then I'd be a better public speaker."

Bart's Comet

The whole opening sequence of that episode comprises the best the Simpsons has to offer. I lost it when the fighter pilots identified Willie as an Iraqi fighter pilot.

When I got the season 5 DVD and I hadn't seen Cape Feare in yonks, I completely lost it when I saw it. Ever since it's been my favourite episode.

Cape Feare - When Sideshow Bob was under the car, and the Homer Thompson thing. (This is what makes this episode so great, it is rare to get 1 jokes that make me laugh for so long in an episode, let alone 2)

Simpsons Tide - The Soviet Union. Pure gold.

Mom and Pop Art - Homer's scream as he assaults the barbecue. What a great scream.

I'll think of more soon.

Like Veryjammy and Nameless I'm not the kind to cry with laughter, being the depressive miserable sod that I am, but I remember Homer's video for Lisa in The Dad Who Knew Too Little making me laugh hard. It was just so stupid and awfully done, they nailed it.

Lol, that's an absolute classic. We have a new addition to Nebuchanezzar's list.

Well, I can't remember the last new episode I laughed hard at, but since the DVDs came out, I've remembered how good the older episodes are and loads of jokes I'd forgotten about took me by surprise and had me in fits of laughter. Flanders and the bear in Much Apu About Nothing and that girl left on the PE hoops in the gym in The PTA Disbands are recent examples.

Really? Can you give an example?Like VJ said, Bart The General, particularly 'Let me help you dry those tears'. Gets me every time.

Also the rabbit trap in Call of the Simpsons - IMO one of the best-executed jokes in the Simpsons' history.

I caught two minutes of The PTA Disbands yesterday and I laughed incredibly hard at Moe reading the class list, particularly the way he says 'Anita Bath'. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. So I'm adding that one to my list.

i laughed really hard at this part in bart the general
BART:whats wrong with you soldger?
KID: it's my nerves sir, i just can't stand the barking any more
BART:your nerves?!
(bart slaps him)
(grampa hits bart)
GRAMPA: sorry bart, you can push em out a plane, you can march em off a clift, you can leave them to die on some god forsaken rock, but for some reason you can't slap em, now apologise to that boy!
