I guess this belongs here, although it could go in Androids Dungeon I guess. Oh well, feel free to move it.

Anyway, today this radio station my dad used to work for was broadcasting from a Corvette dealership a few towns over. We went over there for a while because we had nothing else to do. Turns out the place is co-owned by Joey Kramer from Aerosmith. There were a bunch of platinum records and stuff all over his wall. And right next to his office was a Simpsons animation cell of Aerosmith singing with Bart from the episode when they guest starred. Not only was the cell probably really rare, but it was hand signed and dated by Matt Groening. I took a few pictures of it with my cell phone camera, but considering it was bad lighting and the camera is a piece of shit to begin with, they didn't come out great. Here's the best one:

That actually looks like it's a unique cel. It's the same drawing as the promo cel for that episode, but with Bart drawn in.

That's a really great cell, thanks for posting it! I'd love to get an original show cell, but the cost of them is through the roof!

That's... Wow, I wonder how much it's worth.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay, as with everything.

^ I hate when my dad tells me that.

Nice cel though. If there was one thing in the world I could steal, well... nevermind.

It's a really cool cel and certainly rare, but it doesn't fall under the category of a true animation cel, since it wasn't actually used in the episode. But it does have value, since art with guest stars that took credit for their appearances isn't commercially released by Fox for sale to the public, plus, Groening's autograph also adds value. So to get something like it, you'd have to get it from an insider or the guest star or some crafty seller with access to stuff like it. It's more like a very, very limited edition piece of art related to the series and would be valued like that, versus valuing it compared to actual production cels.

Thanks for posting it. I echo everybody else in saying I'd love to have it.

Yeah, that's probably worth alot. But Joey would never give it up anyway.
