Ever wondered what the staff from OFF look like? Well I found some pictures on google. Might as well post them here.
Here's Joel H Cohen, he's the guy right next to the lady. Al Jean is next to him too.

Apparently this is Dan Greaney but i'm not 100% sure on this one.

And on the first pic, the second guy is Al Jean, right ?
Are the two others related to the show as well ?
Matt Warburton looks off model ...

Yes, Al Jean is the second guy. Thanks for posting those. It's more interesting to know what the people behind the show look like. For some reason I didn't think Carolyn Omine looked like that.

Dana Gould is a MAN?!

04-23-2006, 01:34 AM
Yes, of course Dana Gould is a man, you've never seen his stand-up??? And, unless I'm mistaken I don't think BOB Odenkirk has ever written/produced a "Simpsons", however his brother BILL Odenkirk has produced many "Simpsons" as well as written some of the best "Futurama" episodes, including "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back" and "The Farnsworth Parabox". "Mr. Show" is the best sketch comedy show ever though.

And who's the guy on the left on the top picture?

Herman was actually modeled after Swartzwelder.
Why are Joel H Cohen and Al Jean standing next to the horrible cast members of Less than Perfect?
And who's the guy on the left on the top picture?
andy dick. al jean's association with him sure isn't helping to disspell any rumors.
out of context, carolyn omine's picture would explain the quality of many of her episodes.
dana gould can also be seen in the movie "the aristocrats", along with harry shearer and hank azaria.
guess which of these two is marc wilmore. the answer may surprise you...but it probably won't:

Interesting.
Any pictures of George Meyer out there?
And does anyone have any screenshots of the various writers as Simpsons charaacters for comparison?
And do correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we've seen any of these new writers appear in The Simpsons. The older writers have made several background appearances (George Meyer was in MIllion Dollar Abie) but I don't think any of the new ones have. THis could just be because there haven't been an I&S episodes to point out5 who the writers are and there have been background appearances.
Anyway, good job by all!

There are mag scans out there with Meyer, Jeff Martin, and a bunch of other writers at the time. I might have it, but I think I lost it due to a computer switch. I haven't seen most of the people in the first post, so that was cool to see.

Yes, although the places that it links to are different each time...in a very small way.
Also;
In the second photo the order is Swartzwelder (left), Meyer (center) & Jean
In the fourth photo the order from left to right is Swartzwelder, Meyer, Martin, Jean, Reiss/Vitti
In the second last photo, the order is no different to the third apart from the guy on the right being either Reiss, or Sam Simon.

One of the nerds in Homer Goes to College is based on Rich Moore (except Rich Moore isn't black).
And in the end of Marge Vs. The Monorail, we see Wes Archer, David Silverman and Rich Moore fall off of the Escalator that goes to Nowhere. It seems that they have had several different designs for Silverman. (And let's not forget his appearance at the end of Goo Goo Gai Pan)

^^ I always thought that guy was a writer but I could never figure out who.
Has David Mirkin or Wallace/Wollodarsky ever appeared in animated form? And what about the newer writers? (It's hard to tell without the Itchy & Scratchy inside jokes)
Ans as for the pictre of the entire writing room, I think it's Mike Reiss and not Sam Simon. Because Reiss says he appears in that scene.
And in Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie we see a shot of the writers room and there are two writers that I can't figure out who they are. Anyone know?

Heub, it was said in the commentary for the Itchy and Scratchy episode that it wasn't Rich Moore. Reardon said in Homer Goes to College that the black nerd was just Moore's painted black. It was redesigned a bit for the Radioactive Man episode. Sarge Morton has said on the PEEL boards that Ruth Powers is based on former Simpsons, Critic, Recess, and Futurama director Susie Dietter (who is now a Simpsons retake director). Binky, thanks for those SI scans. Those are the ones I'd lost before.

Yes he's credited as a producer, IMDB even says that he's a producer on the movie...

Yes that's why I said it's been left unclear, in the commentary when the character first appear, the other staff members think it's Rich Moore, but Moore says it was designed after Eddie Filtzgerald, a guy who worked with Sam Simon at Filmation.
Then when he appears for the second time Al Jean (I think) says it's Rich Moore again and someone agrees.
It doesn't look like his other appearences so I think it's definitely Fitzgerald.
Jeremy
04-24-2006, 02:35 PM
I agree, and I'd go with Moore's initial statement since he would definitely know who it was designed after. There's a chance that Mike just didn't hear him say that it was someone else.

Well, this is what he looks like in real life:
http://www.sics.se/~pere/CC2003_groeningcohenmoore.jpg
Rich Moore on the right. The other two are of course Matt G and David X Cohen.
Another picture of Moore:

Holy crap, I never imagined that's what Rich Moore would look like now. He looks so different in the picture in Simpsons Illustrated from 10+ years ago (http://www.springfieldpost.com/misc/animators1.jpg).

Little Rudiger: That guy on the left in the backrow looks strikingly similar to Mike Scully, are you sure it's not him?
And Jim Reardon (the guy with the distinguished voice in the commentaries) looks completely different to how I imagined him. I thought he'd be a neat English guy drinking tea.

Yeah the back row starts with Scully and then the rest are right. Great pics btw little rudiger.

Oh Your God! Carolyn Omine is holding a bong and standing in front of a "High Times" backdrop. I had a feeling some of the producers were heads.

Jay Kogen appears in "The Aristocrats" so you can get a good look at him there. He's a pretty big guy.

And apparently the guy next to her is Brad Ableson, a storyboard artist on the show.

Here are some screen captures from Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie. I think i can identify most of them...
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/kfc_colonel/vlcsnap-3090962.jpg
George Meyer, Josh Weinstein, and Bill Oakley
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/kfc_colonel/vlcsnap-3088321.jpg
Don't know the first guy, Ian Maxtone-Graham, don't know the third guy either
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/kfc_colonel/vlcsnap-3087803.jpg
Oakley, Weinstein, Ken Keeler I think, and Greg Daniels?
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/kfc_colonel/vlcsnap-3092582.jpg
Next to Krusty is Ken Keeler maybe? then Oakley is next to Homer's head. On the other side its two guys i don't know, Greg Daniels, and a network exec
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/kfc_colonel/vlcsnap-3091609.jpg
On the left i don't know who the first guy is and then obviously Weinstein and Oakley. On the other side its David X Cohen closest to the camera then Greg Daniels.

Standing in the back from left to right its Weinstein, Keeler and Daniels are obsured by Roger Myers head, Cohen, David Silverman, Matt Groening?, and ?
You guys try and fill in the blanks for me.

I doubt Keeler is in those shots, as he looks totally different in photos I've seen compared to the character model you think is his.

David Silverman
I doubt it, he lacks the trademark Silverman stubble.

No it is Silverman. This is when they are telling him what poochie should look like. Notice the tuba in the background? Same design as the guy in the other picture. In some of the closer shots this character has stubble though.

I still can't get over the serendipity of a John Frink being on the writing staff.

Rich Moore looks just a tad bit older. But he's got that same mischeivious face as he did so long ago.
Mark Kirkland, on the other hand, has seriously grayed out, hair-wise.
And he's got a 3rd wife?
