Which is the better DC comics adaptation?

For me, "Superman" cause it's still the best of all comic book movies! sure "Begins" was a great movie but "Superman" is still the best.

Great Thread! Especially since SR isn't even out yet.

Batman Begins will Own its Ass anyway...

I'm guessing he's talking about the original Superman movie, but still, these kind of threads suck.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker - best animated comicbook film
Justice League/ JLU - the best comicbook cartoon series.

I prefer X-Men from the 90's to Justice League.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm remains my favorite Batman story. Batman Begins is second. Return of the Joker is third. Kevin Conroy as Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker played those characters for over a decade (Batman, Batman: Gotham Knights, Superman, Batman Beyond, even an episode of Static Shock, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited (sans Joker).

Oddly, Bruce Timm (one of the guys behind Justice League) was also behind that show.

Is he a writer?

Co-creator with Paul Dini (one of the better script writers on JLU and BTAS) and some guy called Steven Spielberg.

Hmm. Boring limp-wristed whiney Tobey Maguire versus a interesting psychologically complex protrayal by Christian Bale? Nhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha!

or jsut a much bigger spidey fan than batman fan

plus based on the fact that the batman franchise had been all but shit on before batman begins and the spider-man franchise was in essence brand new the first spider-man movie pwn3d batman begins in my opinion

im not saying batman begins was a bad movie, far from it, bale did an excellent job in reviving a characters that was Danny Ocean'd but to me i felt that seeing spiderman swing through new york city for the first time with decent animations and willem dafoe's portrayal of perhaps one of the greatest super hero villains of all time was superb.....that or i'm an 8 year old boy, take your pick

Thanks to the wonder of YouTube, I can inflict my taste in cartoons on all who care what I have to say. E.g. an example of a good JLU episode:

Best to let each section load before you watch them.

Batman Begins is the smartest comic-book superhero movie ever made. That being said, regardless of how intelligently it handled the material, not sure that it's the best movie - that might go to the endlessly rewatchable X2, or to Spiderman-2. Superman: Returns should be excellent, good sense of the character's strengths and Singer is very good at what he does. Superman movies of yore are weak to me, since I never saw them back when they were new and fresh, and they just look dated. Some strengths, but outweighed by cheese.
