yeah, i love my phone. it's not really fancy, but it has a great camera, and i don't feel like i'm going to break it. i've had it for two years, and am planning on keeping it for a while.

samsung a670 or something. it's not as fancy as those edgy razrs but it has a nice screen, has a built in camera, and has tetris.

I think this is it....
http://img.phonescoop.com/img/p/245/64_1.jpg
A few years old, and a hand-me down actually, but hell if I can even begin to care. I only really carry it around in case someone needs to contact me or I need to contact someone else. I currently don't need to pay it for myself, and if I did, I'd just decide to cut it off because I rarely use it. I find even carrying any phone to be more of a hassle than anything. The only thing that actually bothers me about this specific phone's outdatedness is that without any sort of cover it tends to randomly get buttons pushed in my pocket, but otherwise I couldn't give a fuck.

there is probably a key that you can press and hold down (usually the pound sign) to put the phone in lock mode so keys can't get hit while it is in your pocket. that's been a function on phones for a while, but don't do it until you find out what the unlock code is.
DotheBartman
04-19-2006, 04:56 PM
Yeah, I have to automatically unlock it when I turn it on....but I'm not 100 percent sure if I can leave it that way and still have people reach me. But my usual solution is just to have it off unless I realize it needs to be on or might need to be on.
I'm pretty sure the voice-mail on the phone is still of my sister too. :-X I still need to get around to fixing that.

if people call while it is in lock mode, you'll still know that they are calling, you'll just need to unlock it before answering the call. turning it off is a good solution though, although i usually just have it on vibrate nowadays. barely wastes any battery, and no one knows but you when it goes off.

The black one. Sony Ericsson T290a. Had it for approximately a month. One of those "pay as you go" phones from Cingular. Not fancy in the least bit, but it's got a few cool features that make it stand out from just an ordinary phone. And it's nice and small, fits in my pocket easily.
Honestly, I don't talk too much, anyway, so this suits my needs perfectly. Buy a phone card here and there and I'm set. I'm happy with it.

So what feeble old woman did you end up giving two quarters for that one? ;)
I have this piece of shit TracFone that doesn't even have a standard ring on it. I hate it.

hey whisman, don't trash the tracfone. i've had mine for years and it always works fine. if you have a slightly more recent one, use the "anyone here?" ringtone, its good if you want a somewhat standard ring.
but yeah, TracFone sucks

Hahah. Well, if you want to hear about the deal I got on it, got it for $10 (regularly $60) at Wal-Mart. Deal was only good that one day since they had a Cingular representative whoring out phones there. It's just my luck I was there that one day :bobross:

treo 600. i mostly use it for scrabble, to look up movie times, or when i'm extremely bored and not at home, internet. my dad's sort of addicted to buying technology for the family, so i'm expecting the treo 700 for my birthday... which i will use to play scrabble, but with better graphics!

I wanted a flip phone but i think i'll just go back to the normal type or the sliding ones next time. The reaction time on this isnt as good as my previous phone, the nokia 3220

This one has flashing lights on the side of it (Red blue yellow orange) which came in handy at work, cuz it could flash every minute or two afteri got a message/missed call but stayed silent.

Theres so much you can do with this phone. I really like it. It has a 2 mega pixel camera which is great and I don't need to carry my ipod.

My friend has the next step up from that, also a SE w-series, but it's like a razor/flipphone, also very orangey.
Not to negatively yank your chain, skittle, but my granddad has the same cellphone as you. I shit you not.

Kyocera K9 w/ Virgin Mobile pre-paid service
Terribly ghetto. Used to carry it in my bag & dust got on the INSIDE of the screen and you can barely see anything. I want to get the K10 Royale, which is the same size as my phone (not big, not terribly small) but has a color screen.

mine is basic but very tiny:
http://www.wplus.com/phones/nok_2128iL.jpg
that is about the size of the width of my hand. (the picture is actual size)
best part is that the battery lasts around 5-7 days, and it has a nice flashlight built in. I have used it more than any camera phone I have ever used.
Came in real handy the other night at a concert when it was dark and I was looking for my row/seat.
