Alright it was a mistake what I asked here and i'm sorry. My apologies. Didn't mean to get people so upset. Please lock this. Thanks.
you could always, like, ignore posts you don't want to read.

if you think nhc is a fast board with tons of posts each day...well i don't think you've seen too many forums out there.

This is not true to the Categorical Imperative. Kant would not approve.

Personally, I think we should just make a rule that Galalimit can't post anymore.
(And seriously, how ironic is this thread coming from him....)
Just skip the crap you don't want to read. Who cares how often somebody posts? And if some members believe that their high post count connects to their ego somehow, thats their problem, not ours.

Limit post count thats dumb as hell. Most of those people who spam all the time are gone within a month anyway.

I have yet to see a board that limits post count and doesn't get complaints from members.

And obviously, the moderators will not be included in this rule and would be free to post as much as they want as well as other proven veteran posters like the guys who have been here for over 4 years and actually CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING whenever they post.
no can do; this isn't even really possible.

putting a limit on postcounts, or making certain people exempt from a limit on postcounts rule?

making certain people exempt; it would require the creation of new usergroups and a hell of a lot of coding
so in actuality it is possible, but it's not something I'd want to attempt

Even if it didn't require that much work, it's a seriously awful idea. Not everybody who posts a lot posts spam.

what is it with you and postcounts? how would this make this board a better place to come to? i don't think there is even remotely a problem with spamming on this board. never really has been.

Galalimit, you have serious issues with post counts, like delting your posts etc, it just seems pointless and a waste of time.

If there were a limit to 5 posts a day, then people wouldn't have had any posts left by the time they got to read this thread and couldn't have responded - I certainly wouldn't use 1/5 of my daily posts in this thread.

There is no reason for limiting post count. Who the hell even cares about how many posts they have got on a simpsons message board ? If a guy posts 50 times a day but those are all quality posts, then what is the problem ? And if someone is post-whoring all the time by spamming all threads, moderators can warn and ban them. The proposal is completely illogical.
