Who's my more favorite director? Wes, by a far margin; I think PTA hurts his movies with directorial choices sometimes, whereas Wes launches them into greatness that way.

Better films? Wes has #1 favorite film of all time (Tennenbaums), and Rushmore which is in my top 10... PTA has 3 that are in my top 15, with Magnolia up near the top 5 and Boogie Nights & PDL both close to if not above Rushmore. Life Aquatic and Bottle Rocket aren't even near the top 25, and neither is Hard Eight, but still, 3 to 2.

So I'd have to say that PTA has better films... but Wes is my more favorite director by an absolute mile.
