What the HELL ! ! ... First non animated Movies, Now this???
Did anyone watch adultswim late last night? Instead of the CN network or Adultswim insignia floating in the bottom right corner of the screen, somebody had "Crappy 1990's Live Action TV Show Network"

Somebody high up must of forced this into being, cause it looks like some of the employees are just as miffed about this as I am.

Just a random thought...I wonder if these were uncut? (Considering most syndicated shows are cut, as I assume is the case with Saved by the Bell also, but Adult Swim always shows their programs edit free.) I don't have much interest in watch this, but if, say, they were to run uncut Wonder Years sometime....well, you wouldn't see me complaining.

I watched long enough to see the bumps and changed over to Night Court on TV Land. I would have rather had NC on Adult Swim for a trial run, but how many jokes can you make about a bald Richard Moll in the bumps before it gets unfunny?

when you were watching it 1 of 2 things must have been true:
either you were 2 years old, or it was not in the first run and, therefore, out of context of its time period.

hence, you're unable to appreciate it.

Amen! I Watched a little last night and Cringed a Mighty Cringe. Raised in rural areas as I am, The Teenybopper adventures of these spoiled Suburbanite brats never appealed to me.

...But regardless of my likes or dislikes,... Its a CARTOON network!! Git it!? Cartoons! I watch CN explicitly because I love animation. SBTB is NOT Animation!! ...Thats My Entire Gripe and Point!! ...Love SBTB if you will, but on TV Land or NickatNight or DVD or anywhere else.

I wonder what the real deal is? ..Could CN be covetous of Nick at nights ratings? Nickelodeon,.. A network that shows some cartoons by day and Roseanne & Fresh Prince reruns by night?? Is this the slow modification and inevitable future of Cartoon network??.... Please! Please! Please! Hear a Cartoon lovers Plea!! :yell: DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN :'(

I'd rather watch a Cartoon,.... at 12 am. Cartoon Network was the only place i could do that.

Again, I say, Why are the people airing the show running the words "Crappy 90's Live action.." during its broadcast?? Did they lose a bet or something?

no, they're doing it because it's funny. adult swim is notorious for showing weird, hip, offbeat and absurdist cartoons, and what is the exact OPPOSITE of all of those things? saved by the bell. therefore, they are doing exactly the opposite of what their viewers have come to expect of them by showing one of the corniest, most cliche-ridden tv shows ever; fully embracing the true 'absurdist' nature that they strive so very very very hard to achieve.

at least, that's what i think.

I think they're just trying to tap into the notalgic affectations of hipsters that make up 90% of their viewing audience.

I never watched SBTB when it was originally broadcasted, but I still like the show in all it's awfulness. Most of my friends and I watched it, even having debates on who would you rather date? Kelly Kabowski or Jessie Spano?

I don't care what she looked like in Show Girls, I'll always go with Kelly.

Frankly I'm ok with Adult Swim showing SBTB, just don't make a habbit out of it with other shows.

I'm sorry, DAn. The junior high episodes are pretty terrible, and I hated that teacher (principal?...can't remember) with the nasally, snobby British accent. I always skipped those episodes when they aired 'em.

High school is where it picked up, and that, my friend, is the true golden age. Then they had to go to college and suck again.
